Looks like a full size Palmer. ?

Now I finally have an idea for a couple of those Palmers that I've had floating around my junk box for years!

If it took them 4 months to sell just 50 - they'd go broke trying to sell an annual run of them.

Oh how I miss the days when aesthetics and proportions were considered when designing a car.

Bill Mitchell, oh how we need you today!

That was in Japan only.

I'll bet they'd sell a boat load of them in the US.

Personally, I think it looks pretty nice.

At least it doesn't look like your average "super car" today with enough useless "gingerbread" to cover a large Victorian house. and a price tag to match.

I like it better than the Opel GT. I had always heard them called 'baby Vette'. This car looks more Vette-like, to me.

Let's just say that it looks every bit as good as all of the other "retro" styled vehicles to come out in the past 20 years.

At least it does in my opinion.

I'll bet if Chevy would have done it first, everyone would think it was the greatest thing since sliced bread.

The body sides look nothing like the Corvette they are attempting to copy...wheel openings are the wrong shape, and the sides lack the sharp crease that goes all the way around the 'Vette.  If they had gotten those elements right, it would look a lot better.

Everyone: the Tesla Cybertruck is the ugliest ever

Mitsuoka: Hold my beer..

Sorry, I don't think that works at all. Like most kit cars or re imaginings, the proportions just don't work in my eyes.

First thing it reminded me of was the Mako Shark I.

If they'd knock all the tacky gingerbread off it, it would be a darn sharp looking little car. Better than that Pontiac/Saturn thing of a decade or so ago.

I don't think it was meant to be a direct copy.

Like the Mustangs, Challengers and Camaros of recent years, it's just supposed to be a "salute" to the original styling.

I agree.

I think we're looking at it through the "lens" of the original '63-'67 Corvette, and expecting it to be a "copy".

I'll guarantee you that this car would sell like hot cakes to the younger crowd in the states!

Especially at around $40,000.00 versus $60,000.00 and up for a Corvette.

That front double chin look prevents me from giving it an OK. Not that I'm excited  about the slab side look or the overly large rocker panels.

That isn't the worst thing to happen to a Miata. The round headlights are a bit out of place, I wish they'd have integrated them in to the front under a clear lens like the racing vettes.

I think the designer poked himself in the eye when he saluted!
