This is a media sample kit with production kits coming soon.  For those not familiar, this is an all-new tool based on an original Ertl 4070A kit.   All the parts were scanned and new digital engineering drawings were made.  Several new parts were created along with cleaning up existing parts and adding missing detail to others.    The new kit, we can't call it a reissue because it's different from the original 1973 kit - the parts layout and trees are different, chrome parts count is different, is the same configuration specification-wise as the 1973 version.   The kit includes the brochures that the original had, the instruction booklet is the original in style and features the original photography and retro painting tips.    The decal sheet has the original stye Loadmasters logos as well as other company names, 3 (three) IH style paint stripes, door "CO4070A" logos and other items.      The kit is molded in a a cream/off white plastic.  It has a good quality feel and look to it and the off-white makes for easy reading of part numbers for old tired eyes.    Well done Round2

The photos didn't load in the order I wanted, sorry about that.

Tim

Awesome!   Credit card is hot and ready.   I'll be cleaning out my local hobby shop as soon as they hit the shelf !!   Love it !!

I'm building a F-4270 right now.  Looks like exactly the same rear suspension.

The 4270 - A great kit!   I have a very vivid memory of the first time I bought one and opened it up to see that weird blue plastic.

This is one of the few ERTL kits I never owned. It looks great and very 'ERTL' and that is a positive. Thanks for sharing Tim.

It's great that we're all excited about a 50 year old truck hitting the shelves again!  My signature is holding true, "old trucks are the future"

Tim, Thanks, to you, you have given us, a chance to buy one of the most sought after trucks, other than the Kenworth Challenge Mixer. I hope, that you will continue to help, to bring out the wanted trucks from yesteryear!

I can’t believe this is real. I pre-ordered mine already. Even at full price with high shipping costs I still spent 1/4 of what a vintage kit would cost me. Very excited.

Not much of a truck builder or truck expert. What is the earliest model year this kit could represent OOB?

Tim, many thanks for helping to bring back this one - this is my second holy grail in truck models beside the "little-window"359 - can't wait to get it!

This one is a must have for me. Owned one of these for a short time when I tried to go independent. End result made lots of money and went broke thanks to a less that reputable broker.

I remember hauling Budweiser out of St Louis to Portage Wi. just as hard as we could run following the big strike. Lot of creative log book work went on for a while!

I remember when the US Army was using them in Germany! They where in OD Green!

The Army used Transtars?  Interesting.

Hey Johnny, thank you for sharing your trucking memories.  I enjoy the stories of how trucking was decades ago.  Like many things, it ain't the same today.

It's great to see these old truck models being reproduced.
