KWT Posted October 15, 2022 Posted October 15, 2022 This is the Revell snapper... built this last year right before my surgery. Paint is Tamiya pearl light blue... and I foiled for the first, and most likely last time. As always, thanks for looking... 8
cobraman Posted October 15, 2022 Posted October 15, 2022 Looks good ! I like that kit a lot.Built 3 of them .
Bills72sj Posted October 16, 2022 Posted October 16, 2022 I have heard that the snappy body has good proportions. Foiling is my favorite part of my builds. You did pick an intensive one for your 1st. Nice work.
Doug 1061 Posted October 16, 2022 Posted October 16, 2022 That looks great. That is a tough one to foil. The next one will be much easier and faster. I hated BMF the first time I tried it but now it's much easier to deal with.
70 Sting Posted October 16, 2022 Posted October 16, 2022 Great looking build! I also have a strong dislike for BMF but it looks like you did a dang, fine job with it.
carrucha Posted October 16, 2022 Posted October 16, 2022 Looks nice. Good job on the foiling. Foiling is easier if you spread over two or three nights. I got frustrated when I tried to do it all in one night.
Can-Con Posted October 16, 2022 Posted October 16, 2022 I'm not a big fan of '57 Chevys like some people are, I can take them or leave them but I gotta say, I really like yours. That color works great on it.
Zippi Posted October 16, 2022 Posted October 16, 2022 Good color choice on the 57 Chevy. It has a nice stance. I have one in my stash. Nice build.
KWT Posted October 16, 2022 Author Posted October 16, 2022 (edited) Thanks everybody, it is much appreciated... When I decided to foil this one, I thought I should pick a less complicated one to try on... but then figured, go big or go home.. I spread it out over a week. You guys that do this a lot, my hats off to ya... Edited October 16, 2022 by KWT

KWT Posted October 17, 2022 Author Posted October 17, 2022 Thank ya much! I didn't have any issue with it sticking, except in corners... it's just a pita... I do think I'm going to try it ever so often... maybe... probably not..
happy grumpy Posted October 17, 2022 Posted October 17, 2022 Nicely done. Like it or not the 57 chevy is an iconic American car that has a important part in the car culture. Personally, I like the tri 5 all the same. Great job on the paint . Hard to see it's a snapper.
TransAmMike Posted October 17, 2022 Posted October 17, 2022 Seems I missed this one. You did a beautiful job Jeremy. Looks very real in the pictures. I too have built this kit and really like it. Great job?
KWT Posted October 17, 2022 Author Posted October 17, 2022 Thank ya much.. I really liked the kit. May have to get another one.
Slotto Posted October 17, 2022 Posted October 17, 2022 Whoa, that's killer Jeremy! How did I miss this?
AMT68 Posted October 19, 2022 Posted October 19, 2022 That build looks beautiful and in a well suited color. What base did you use under the TS-58 and was it clear coated? I've used this color in the past and while it's looked nice, I much prefer the look on this model.
bluestringer Posted October 20, 2022 Posted October 20, 2022 Nice. I've built one, been thinking of building another one.
KWT Posted October 21, 2022 Author Posted October 21, 2022 Thanks guys, I do appreciate it. On 10/19/2022 at 9:38 AM, AMT68 said: That build looks beautiful and in a well suited color.
