Just a little diversion. Mostly from the box with modified parts box wheels dropped front axle and wired kit flathead.

Tamiya pearl yellow spray, wood done with various Tamiya acrylics and craft paints.

Look good. I'm working on a 32 roadster right now and am stuck for a color. Image a can of this color. It looks great on your woody, and just might find it's way on to mine. Nice build and thanks for the inspiration.

Great job! I was following the wip thread on this. The stance, color, wheels an wood grain make this a stand out!

Very well done! You don't see many street rods done in yellow in scale. Which is a shame really, as I think '20/'30s Fords look great in yellow.

Love that pearl yellow!!!! What did you do to get the nose in the weeds?

dropped front axle and spring from an AMT 27 Ford firetruck hotrod kit. I think the same part is in the recently reissued '27 phaeton kit but I'm not sure.

Looking good Steve, I've got on sitting on AMT chassis and fenders I need to wrap up someday.

Dave, have you test fitted the hood on with the rad and body yet?

Mine had about a 1/16 gap when I but them together as instructed. I had to move the rad back to close the gap and clear the headlights and their bar.

That's one of the reasons I used the AMT fenders. That and I like the AMT radiator shell better. When MPC did the small block chevy powered version in 1978, they moved the radiator forward a bit and put mounting ears on the lower sides of the radiator shell. While I'm not planning on running a hood, I think I remember test fitting an AMT hood (which I think is shorter) and it fit fine. That said, I'll give it a test fit tomorrow and get back with you.

It is. It's really good for lowering '25 Ts as well. Like this survivor that came to me with a stock front axle.
