Finally - after waiting almost a year since pre-ordering I received this Profil24 Cunningham 1952/53 C4RK in 1/24 scale. The comparison picture with the Fisher/Dragon C4R is deceiving because they are almost the same size.

That is REALLY nice!  When I see pictures of the C4-RK from 3/4 front, I can't help but to notice where the original DNA of the GTS Viper Coupe came from.

Thanks,
Ismael

Sort of modelcars related. Found these on ebay, i have always wanted these 2 kits mostly because I like the show mash 4077. Going to wait with the helicopter and then sometime i might build a diorama of the set they used.

Arrivals in the last couple of days:

These new Hasegawa kits are very nice. This one allows me to put my old Tamiya version up for sale.

These were bundled together as one lot at a decent BIN price. I thought the FD100 would be a useful engine donor, but seeing a recent mention by @Tom Geiger makes me think the chassis will be useful too. Skyline has more bits than the other version I have (blue car on box), so I can move that one on. Escort may end up as a Saloon Stock Car short oval racer.

These  came from a seller who lists a lot of interesting built and boxed kits.

Toyota Soarer is by Fujimi, thinking that will be restored and given a sharknose conversion, but for now it looks quite funky as it is.

Paint on the Monto Carlo isn't quite as good as it looks, I thought it was Tamiya Candy Lime Green but it seems to have a heavier flake to it. For now I'm planning to do a basic temporary build on it, attaching things dry/with PVA so it can eventually be dismantled and stripped/rebuilt. Slammed on a set of wire wheels it should look the part.

Almost 2 weeks ago the club I belong to held our annual spring contest and swap meet and I found three holy grail kits. I didn’t have to spend too much either.

I really like the aero Cougars. That Tom Daniel California Street Vette is a tough one to find. Any Fujimi Enthusiast Porsche is worth adding to the stash.

Plans for the Cougar are to squeeze in the Revell 2013 Boss Mustang Coyote engine into this, I do have one in my stash.

Got my MPC Golden Hawk Jeep CJ5 along with a pair of sporty bucket seats for it. Also, some more vintage looking surfboards with racks a d vintage surfing decals for my Westfalia tribute. I couldn't get the period correct 80s decals so these 60s-70s decals will have to do. I'm sure I can use that wood grain from the AMT Surf Wagon on something.

I do seem to remember these in the 1970’s

These kits i bought was made in -95. The helicopter was last released with mash decals in 2012. But since the show still goes as reruns almost everywhere i am surprised that revell has not rereleased the swamp scene and truck with the mash figures. The truck was last released with army soldiers instead of the mash figures.

What an awesome, brutal machine - I am looking forward to another great racer coming out of your garage Gary (Le Mans participant?)

Some more GM torch red for my Camero project (after it’s swim in the purple pond is over).

Great looking colors and quality paint. Beware, it can be a little harsh on our kits plastic. Double check on some spruce first just to be sure. Don't ask how I know as I'm still kicking myself for not doing just that.

Being disappointed by the metal front axle and blobular front suspension on the old AMT '74 Mustang II (for a planned "Sudden Death" build), I snagged an MPC Fire Fighter kit, as instructions and photos of it online seemed to show a better front end setup. Yes it's better, but not great...though I can work with it without having to scratch everything. This is already turning into an expensive project, and I haven't even started anything yet.  :D

Also got a no-box-mostly-complete "new tool" bullet-bird donor for guts under another planned build of a mild custom '63 T-bird hardtop, based on an old Styline body. Interesting that the new-tool kit shares nothing with the old one, but remarkably, the kit designers got everything plenty close enough to work with a little massaging. And maddengly, one previous owner had twisted all the wheels off the sprues, ruining the rims, making them useless for anything but centers in alloy sleeves. Not that big a deal as I wasn't going to use 'em soon anyway, but kinda lowers the value of what I thought I was getting.

It'll be something like this...

Interesting, what make is that? Intended to be motorized?

It's a Fujimi. This kit does not appear to have motorized origins. However, the differential and back portion of the driveshaft are moulded into the chassis plate. It has full engine detail, although you have to cut the hood open. Other than the engine, there  does not appear to be much else for the engine bay.Let's just say the price was right for what it is. I will probably swap out the wheels and tires for a nicer Fujimi or Aoshima set.
