  1. A very nicely done build! Is this the AMT 1970 LT-1/ZR-1 kit or another AMT Corvette kit? I sure would like to see a couple more photos, especially a straight-on side view to see how your model "sits" on the ground!
  2. Considering the faults with this kit, your build looks excellent! I'm intrigued by the tailights on this build; were those on the decal sheet? (Apparently all cats think they need to be the center-of-attention; i know mine does!)
  3. Excellent build and concept/story behind it! Now, tell us a little more about the build; what chassis did you use under that great looking T-Bird body? Wheels/tires? Engine? We wanna know more!
  4. This build is gonna have alot of onlookers; myself included! I'm curious what your plan is for doing the graphics of the 1:1? (I'm also curious what that cartoon dog image is on the front fender?!?!?).
  5. I'll be watching this build as you finish it up! That thing looks "ready-to-launch" right now!!! I'll be interested in seeing how you alter the Wedge engine's valve covers to look like AMC units; I've got a project or two that needs more accurate looking AMC valve covers so seeing what you do will be of great interest to me!
  6. I know that at one time R&R Resin made a 1/25 1968 Ford Torino resin kit, but I am actually searching for just the resin GT grill/front bu,mper piece; does anyone know if the '68 Ford Torino GT grill/front bumper has ever been available as as separate resin piece, and if so, who sells it?
  7. I think this one only builds-up as a Street Rod. I am in the middle of building this kit, (I've had it nearly 20 years which shows you my "build-rate"), and still get excited about it when it finds its way back onto my workbench and I make a little bit of progress on it. I've seen built-ups of this kit both with and without the fenders, and that's the question that I now wrestle with; do I want my build to have its fenders or be fenderless? Guess I'll make that final decision when the paint for the body starts getting sprayed! Good luck on your build Uncle Scott; post some pics as it goes... maybe they'll inspire me to finally finish my build!
  8. Stunning build! Your paint and decal work is outstanding!
  9. Casey, Yes, they are those same tires as found in the kits you mentioned. Do you need a set of them, 'cuz I won't be using the ones that came in my Sunbeam Tiger kit?
  10. Very nice build! What did you do to make those headlight lenses look so good? Did you glue clear-plastic lenses over the top of the chrome-molded lenses?
  11. Oh, and by the way, welcome to the forum! Your builds look really well-done; keep posting more!
  12. I found your post of that Freightliner; it looks awesome, too!
  13. Really, really like this build!
  14. To my eye, it turned out pretty well! It certainly has a "bad a_ _" look to it! I might suggest you dull-down the chrome on those bumpers and grill a bit; they almost look like newer replacement parts unless that was the look you were going for on them. I hope you post more pics of that Freightliner in the Truck section on the forum; it looks really good, too!
  15. Along with the hammer-head gear shifter... nice!
  16. One quick question; where'd you source those BEAR Alignment Equip. decals shown on the rear quarters?
  17. Nice; really like this build! Your workmanship looks excellent! The only thing that's missing is dirt all over it!
  18. Okay, so I got the parts separated without major damage, but the styrene on the fenders is incredibly soft, flexible and easily-distortable. Can anybody let me know if it will ever harden-up again, and if so, approximately how long will that hardening-process take? (Or is it gonna remain soft styrene forever?)
  19. Man oh man, Snake, you made me belly-laugh with that one!
  20. I am restoring the 1/25 trailer from the vintage, 1/25 Revell Mickey Thompson Attempt-I Land-Speed record car kit. I have plans for modifying the main trailer piece, and got a second one off of Ebay. The one from Ebay was built, and the ancient Revell tires have chemically-bonded themselves to the inner portion of the trailer's fenders. Any idea what would be a good way to separate them without doing major damage to those styrene fenders? Thanks for the help.
  21. Beautiful build! Looks "just right"! Explain to us a little bit about how you thinned those front spokes; (did you just slowly and carefully shave them down by scraping each with an X-Acto blade)? To my eye, those thick spokes as found in the kit were always visually-distracting, and what always took-away from the "look" of a good build of this kit. What you did to those spokes makes a world of visual-difference!
  22. Were the 1:1 versions of these ever raced in events like the Baja Mexican Road Race? Or did they stop running the Baja Mexican Road Race before these Jeeps could have participated?
  23. Nice build! Vinyl top work looks pretty darn good to my eyes; paintwork looks excellent too! I'm in-progress on this same kit... mind if I steal that vinyl top idea and use it on my build? It really looks like an excellent solution and I hadn't considered a vinyl top on my Superbee until I saw yours!
  24. .. I'm thinking a reissue of the AMT 1965 Oldsmobile Cutlass F85 or 442 would be a good choice... would love to see this one return to the hobby store shelves! http://www.ultra-high-compression.com/sitebuilder/images/redlines-1-951x457.jpg
  25. Welcome to the forum! Both of your Chrysler builds look very well done! I really like this '55 in particular! Well done; keep posting!
