  1. Anyone else finished a new '68 Chevelle recently; sure would like to see some pics of it!
  2. Everything about this build is outstanding! Paint work, color choices, vinyl top texture/finish, detail painting, decal application... I could go on-and-on! I really like the Torque Thrust wheels on this build; especially the detailing-painting on their lugnuts and center-hubs. Boy, wouldn't this be one that nearly anyone would love to have as a 1:1 sitting in their garage! Nice work, Tyrone!
  3. What a minute; how 'bout that quaint little Alfa Sprint GTA...?
  4. Stunning! One of the very best, (if not THE very best), builds of this kit that I've seen! I like the Yellow overspray on the chassis; it looks "just right" to my eye! All of the detail's paintwork looks outstanding as well... nice job!
  5. Great project; looking forward to seeing it cross the finish-line. Will the final have numeral and other decals applied?
  6. Wow! This looks like an ambitious project; and you're off to a great start! I saw the first group of pics and had no idea you cut-open the doors on this project, (that alone is a testament to the quality of the workmanship when you can't even tell the doors have been cut-out)! I'll be watching this one as it progresses!
  7. Anyone have a good idea about a good choice of donor chassis to go underneath this Imperial to get a more detailed chassis with separate suspension pieces? I was wondering about the '59 Plymouth, (Christine), kit, but I'm almost certain the wheelbase would be too short. Any thoughts out there would be appreciated.
  8. I love the 1:1, but could never get past that poorly-done Revell roofline either; hence, I've never bought the kit.
  9. Really, really like this build! Everything looks so "right" on it. Great paint and decal work and your engine compartment is outstanding!
  10. Glad this post got started as I've been wanting to see some completed builds of this new kit; post 'em up boys and girls... we wanna see your '68 Chevelles!
  11. Great build in an iconic color scheme! I have a question regarding the AMT early Thunderbird kits; they always have looked to my eye as tho they were produced in about 1/22nd scale or so. Those kits always look too big when sitting next to another built 1/25th kit of just about any other car. Does anyone think the sizing might be a bit off?
  12. It'd be interesting to see some of the entrants in that Design A Brat contest. I wonder what the winning entry looked like!
  13. I've pulled a chromed set of the "short cap" wheels outta the Round-2 1970 Chevrolet Corvette LT1/ZR1 kit for my '68 Chevelle build. They look like what I've seen in 1:1 '68 Chevelle pics like the 1:1 Grotto Blue and Black convertible pics shown above.
  14. I just got my own '68 Chevelle kit this morning, and thought I had my build's color scheme all figured out. Then, I saw this thread and I'm rethinking that original color scheme plan! One thing that I have noticed about this kit that I really don't care for is the 2 gaping holes in the firewall piece for those hood hinges to "fit" into. I'll be building mine minus those hood hinge pieces and filling-in those two large firewall openings. The Silver one, sans stripes would be my pick of these color options.
  15. Really like this build! Colors, stance and details all look terrific! I think the wheel/tire combo you used is one thing that really sets this build off; I wouldn't change a thing! Did you scratchbuild the rear/side window glass; it doesn't look like a kit part?
  16. Tom, This is a great little build! In my hometown we had an International Harvestor assembly plant, and they had a small fleet of these same Dodge D50 trucks, all in IH Red paint. Those little Dodges were always scooting around town! I'm going a different direction with my build of this kit; converting it into a "factory-phantom" TA, (as in TA Challenger), D50 with the shortened cargo box, small block 340 V8 and a performance suspension. If you wouldn't mind emailing me your WORD doc for that dashboard, I'd certainly use it on my D50 project! (I'll PM you with my email addy). Thanks!
  17. It sounds like Round-2 will be reissueing the 1/25 AMT 1976(?) Pinto, (coupe, not station wagon), kit sometime in 2019. I wonder how it might compare with this MPC Pinto wagon kit when it comes to flash, parts-fit and fidelity.
  18. Really like this build! Your paintwork looks outstanding! Also really like your wheel choice; where did you source those wheels from?
  19. So, are there any resin casters out there in the aftermarket that could pop-out those nose and grill pieces for those of us with old kits in our collections that could use those updated parts... just hoping!
  20. Tim; that's an excellent listing that I'm certain I'll refer back to many times in the future! But, why-o-why did you have to add that FWIW comment at the end... that'll do nothing but get hopes up and make me lose some sleep as I dream for what that future release might be!!!
  21. Yellowsportwagon; that is one outstanding build! You need to start a fresh post about it with more pics and your build details... it deserves it!

Great looking build! Paint work and color choice is outstanding! Does anyone think Revell will ever see fit to release this kit in a hardtop version?
  23. Along with the rear bumper seeming a bit over-extended, I think the front bumper looks alittle too "snug" and tight/close to the front bodywork. (But I also realize that many 1:1 Nascar builders of that era did move front bumpers backwards/tighter to the bodywork).
  24. Really like this build! Paintwork looks great; color choices are right-on! What kit is this build based-on?
  25. Oh yes; in my mind, this is probably the most difficult/fiddly-to-build model car kit ever produced!!!
