To my eye, it turned out pretty well! It certainly has a "bad a_ _" look to it! I might suggest you dull-down the chrome on those bumpers and grill a bit; they almost look like newer replacement parts unless that was the look you were going for on them. I hope you post more pics of that Freightliner in the Truck section on the forum; it looks really good, too!

Along with the hammer-head gear shifter... nice! -
One quick question; where'd you source those BEAR Alignment Equip. decals shown on the rear quarters?
-
Nice; really like this build! Your workmanship looks excellent! The only thing that's missing is dirt all over it!

Okay, so I got the parts separated without major damage, but the styrene on the fenders is incredibly soft, flexible and easily-distortable. Can anybody let me know if it will ever harden-up again, and if so, approximately how long will that hardening-process take? (Or is it gonna remain soft styrene forever?)

Man oh man, Snake, you made me belly-laugh with that one! -
I am restoring the 1/25 trailer from the vintage, 1/25 Revell Mickey Thompson Attempt-I Land-Speed record car kit. I have plans for modifying the main trailer piece, and got a second one off of Ebay. The one from Ebay was built, and the ancient Revell tires have chemically-bonded themselves to the inner portion of the trailer's fenders. Any idea what would be a good way to separate them without doing major damage to those styrene fenders? Thanks for the help.

Beautiful build! Looks "just right"! Explain to us a little bit about how you thinned those front spokes; (did you just slowly and carefully shave them down by scraping each with an X-Acto blade)? To my eye, those thick spokes as found in the kit were always visually-distracting, and what always took-away from the "look" of a good build of this kit. What you did to those spokes makes a world of visual-difference!

Were the 1:1 versions of these ever raced in events like the Baja Mexican Road Race? Or did they stop running the Baja Mexican Road Race before these Jeeps could have participated?

Nice build! Vinyl top work looks pretty darn good to my eyes; paintwork looks excellent too! I'm in-progress on this same kit... mind if I steal that vinyl top idea and use it on my build? It really looks like an excellent solution and I hadn't considered a vinyl top on my Superbee until I saw yours!

AMT Buick Oldsmobile Pontiac Reissues
'70 Grande replied to regular guy's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
.. I'm thinking a reissue of the AMT 1965 Oldsmobile Cutlass F85 or 442 would be a good choice... would love to see this one return to the hobby store shelves! http://www.ultra-high-compression.com/sitebuilder/images/redlines-1-951x457.jpg -
Welcome to the forum! Both of your Chrysler builds look very well done! I really like this '55 in particular! Well done; keep posting!

Nice concept and excellent execution! It looks like you really pulled-off the tailgate- conversion/integration too; sure would like to see a straight-on, rear-shot of it to see better how that tailgate looks!
-
I'll certainly be following this build as it progresses; you're off to a great start!
-
Nice build! Has the "look"! Sure would like to see some more pics of the interior, chassis and underhood areas! Its gonna need some license plates before you can take it out onto Main Street, too!
-
Beautiful build! Your underhood detailing looks excellent! I have always thought this kit was overlooked by many builders; the execution by AMT/Ertl/Round-2?, (whoever AMT was working with in producing it back then), was stellar; it has excellent details, mold-quality and goes together well, and looks like the 1:1, too!
-
Beautiful, (maybe that's not the best word-choice here)... how about "outstanding" build! Everything looks spot-on! I wonder if nearly everything in that River Rouge assembly plant turned OD Green from all that overspray during the war years!!??!!
-
Excellent, excellent build! Your paintwork and detail work looks flawless! Those outdoor pics make it look like a 1:1!

I wonder if that '65 Continental will be a convertible or suicide-door hardtop? -
Really like this build! It has the "look". I'd sure like to know what tires you used on this build.

Dodgefever; Post a Want for that "Fly-eye" air cleaner in the forum's Wanted section; I'd bet you'll find someone who has one and would give or trade it to you! -
I'll certainly be watching this one as it progresses!

RIP Robert Yates

He was a legend at engine building for certain. I wonder if he had been facing some sort of health issues. -
Sure would like to see a pic of its bottom-side; wondering how you did the rear-wheel drive/suspension set-up!

Bill, I PM'd you about that trailer!
