  1. Still of the most beautiful cars ever designed.
  2. I'm not seeing first generation RX7 in this car at all.
  3. I have mixed feelings on the car in the video. From the front, I like it. The back? It looks like a kit car one would put on Volkswagen Beetle chassis back in the 1970's.
  4. In many ways a beautiful car. But.... There is no way that thing could be fun to drive. As it's been said, "form follows function." This just "form." I am very surprised to that the car can somewhat function. I remember seeing this car in past magazines and books. I always assumed with that design, the car was just a static display model. It's a pleasant surprise to see that the car was actually designed so it could be driven. It makes me appreciate it for the first time since I've known on it.
  5. It looks okay. And yes it would be nice to see that type of Cadillac appear as a kit. (Hopefully with the option to build a stock version.)
  6. If it hasn't been done. Even if it has been. Someone need to do a review on the above kit. I'd love to see what comes in the box. If I remember correctly, this maybe one of the "good" older Lindberg kits?
  7. It hit me too. Glad to see I wasn't the only one.
  8. From what I can see, it looks all right.
  9. I finished my first full read through of the book yestday morning. Note, my first read through. I guarantee I'll be reading parts, if not all of the book again in the future. Mr. Boyd is a very good writer. As I said before, for book is both informative and entertaining. Good job Tim.
  10. Here's one. A Batmobile built in the early 60's before the TV show appeared. Use in parades, and promotional work for a dairy distributor.
  11. The above was inspiration for Volkswagen's Karmann-Ghia too. There is some belief that Virgil Exner may have actually designed VW's iconic air cooled sports car. When questioned over why he didn't put up a stink over VW's obvious copy of his designs, he use to just smile and say nothing.
  12. I did bug out early. I had Buick Club banquet to go to at 2. Sorry we missed each other. We need to make a point to say hi to each other next time.
  13. No I was given it two weeks before that by another member of the MCCM. April is always our Swap Meet meeting in the MCCM. A friend had that AMT TV show (Hero), Western Customized '66 Imperial kit there. I expressed interest in it if it could be built "stock." It could not. But, then he tells me he has an unbuilt '65 at home he'd be willing to let me have. He knows I'm not into the hobby to make a buck. And knows that I like giving free kits to kids to get them interested the hobby. I was willing to pay for the '65. But he said, knowing that I would build it. I could have it for free. Wow! What a nice guy. And this is not the first time he has done this for me. I guess it sometimes pays to be friendly, and not be greedy with others in this hobby. And I thankfull that he is not just the only one MCCM member for being so generous. There are others within our group who have shown kindness like that to me and other members in our group. They are a great bunch of guys.
  14. And here is more of Bobby Darin's DiDia 150. I think it too is beautiful.
  15. More photos of the Flojole Forerunner. I've always like the looks of this one.
  16. Congratulations again Steven. Your work is always fantastic. Sorry I didn't see or get to talk to you again at this year's NNL North. Another great show.
  17. I've always thought these two were beautiful.
  18. Why are you torturing us by showing us this?
