Your correct about Plymouth calling their station wagons Suburbans. But, international called their truck based station wagon the Travelall. I've never heard of it being officially called a "Carryall" by IH.

Already done that. I buy at least one of any parts packs Round 2 puts out. Sometimes more. I have a set of the dirt bikes. But, the go kart interests me even more.

My Bronco came in the mail yesterday. I was very pleased with what I found when I opened up the box. Everything was beautiful, and looked as good or better than what I expected. Except.... those wheel covers. They look way too small to me. Still I'm going to use them. The one other thing, is what year is this Bronco? From what I recall, the tape package shown in the box art and on the decal sheet did not become available until the 1973 model year. I also notice the the Colorado plates included in the kit are for the year 1973. So far so good. Yet the side of the box indicates the engine included in the kit is a 289? I don't think you could get a Bronco with a 289 after 1968? The 302 replaced the 289. For the most part the 302 and 289 look identical. So no real big deal there. And the air cleaner and fender decals indicate the engine to be a 302. So why the mention of the 289 on the outside of the box Revell, if that's not really the engine in the kit? I'm a little confused. Other than those two minor problems, the rest of the kit looks great. Another new tool from Revell that I'm very pleased with. Now I anxiously await their new '66 Suburban.

Introduced into the market with a "resounding thud"? Patrick Foster in his book on AMC, states on page 106, "After celebrating the most successful first year ever for an AMC car, sales of the Pacer began to fall off rather alarming during 1976." AMC sold 72,158 Pacers in a short model year starting in February of 1975. Hornet was in first place in AMC sales for 1975 at 85,961. The only AMC car in 1975 to outsell the Pacer, with 3 extra months on the show floors. Sales of other AMC cars for the '75 model year? Matador coupes, 22,369. Matador sedans 27,522. Matador wagons only 9692. And AMC sold 56,011 Gremlins. All with 3 extra months of sales over Pacer for 1975. Pacer was a hit, for AMC. The trouble is that AMC sales in general took a dump in sales starting in 1976. And Pacer's novelty wore off fast. But in its first year there was no "thud" from lack of sales. Early on people liked the car.

Only one Olds V8 the time. It or the Caddy OHV V8 would have to be the choice. That was simple.

What year are you building the car in? That can make a big difference.

These two might be fun as couple of quick builds. I kind of like the looks of these two.

Hot Curl himself (the center kit) is the one I'd really like to see come back. I'm sorry to hear that the idea was looked at, but went no where. I do have the resin Hot Curl put out by Replicas and Miniatures of Md. that is a copy of the smaller version that came with MPC's old Wild Ones '29 Ford Model A Wagon/Pickup kit. But, I'd really like a copy of the larger kit too. The other two Hot Curl related kits do not interest me as much. But, if Round 2 reissued them, I have to add them to my collection too. In past searches on the web, I've never been able to find any photos of the three kits above. One of our local MCCM members has a modified Hot Curl the group calls "Ralphy." But, he rarely brings the kit, and I haven't seen it in serveral years now. Does anybody out there have photos of these three kits? Built or unbuilt? Or knows where one can see pictures of these kits? I only know of them from Ralphy of course, and there box art being show in my 1967 Auto World catalog. I'd love to see and know more about them.

The four-door Thunderbirds did not talk, to tell you your door was open. It had a simple warning light, like many other upper priced cars of the time had. Either as standard equipment. Or as an option. I'm not 100% sure on this, but the first talking cars I remember were the '85 (or was that '84) Chrysler New Yorker and E-Class, and the Dodge 600. The old joke was when it told you "Your door is ajar." You were suppose to say, "No it is not a jar. It's a door." ?

Fantastic job! The closest model one can get at a reasonable price that looks almost as good as the Disney version. The Pegasus Nautilus is a beautiful model and design. But, I'm still hoping that Disney will get smart a let some model company offer a kit of their's molded in styrene at a reasonable price. But, with the way things seem to work with Disney licensing, I'm not holding my breath. And because of that I have thought from time to time of buying the Pegasus version. I do have the Hallmark Christmas tree ornament of the Disney Nautilus. But, I really want something bigger, with more detail, at a price I can afford. Enough with my whining. Again, your Nautilus looks great Sam. And thank you for sharing it with us.

I maybe one of the few who is not happy with the timing of this release. Because of buying gifts for others, my budget gets a little tight around Christmas. I'm looking forward to this kit. But, I may have to wait for mine until after the first of the year.

So the tin can version had the proper decals with the cartoon Road Runners on them? The Daisy Duke version had all the proper striping, but with out the cartoon birds. Because of that I had to order correct decals from Keith Marks when I build mine a few years back. The other question is, do the decals in the tin box version also have the correct GTX markings on the hood stripe with the 440 engine call outs? The GTX name on the hood stripe was only correct when the 440 engine was under the hood on the '73 and '74 Road Runners. The other engines only include the displacement numbers. 318, 340/360, or 400.

Round 2 is talking about bring back an old MPC Stroker McGurk model kit. From from the photo they've shown so far, it looks like it will be the Hot Rod Surf Board Boat. These were long gone before I really got big into modeling in the mid-60's. There is one for sure build up if you do a Google search. Looks pretty cool. I plan on getting one when they come back. Since they still have McGurk, I wonder if they still have the Hot Curl surfer model kits tooling laying around? I love this old stuff Round 2 keeps on digger up. It's fun to get a chance to buy models I missed the first time around. Thank you Round 2.

Despite all the complaining, again, on how Revell screwed up another one. I have just gone ahead and ordered one off of eBay. From looking at Chuck's photos posted here, I'm look forward to this one. So the wheels maybe a little small. And the grille to flat. I don't care. It all looks good to me.

The links you gave above, what am I suppose to looking for when I click on them dealing with '71 Road Runners? I didn't see any mention of the '71 Road Runner in any of those links.

I like the stock version better. Clunky it maybe. But, that's what appeals to me. A lot of people like to strip these of their bumpers. For me the bumpers finish off the car. As I said, I have a sickness of some sort when it comes to these ugly AMCs. Big bumpers, bucket seats, and X package, yes. Vinyl roofs and Barcelona packages, No.
