Not that I would use it, but wonder what happened to rotary engine? It would make a cool display piece. Also a little off topic, I remember MPC's original '69 Firebird coming with 3 different engines. The Pontiac 400 V8. The Pontiac OHC six. And a gas turbine engine that looked like it was ripped off from JoHan's Chrysler Turbine Car kit. That's one of the things I loved about MPC kits back in the day. Options.

I ran across a problem last night as I'm working on Revell's '29 Model A roadster. One that I've seen a few times before. Installing small, tiny decals. Last night I was trying to install the instrument decals (30, 31, 32, and 33) into the instrument cluster. The first one I trying putting down is the smallest. #33. As soon as got it off the paper on the cluster, and start moving it into position, it disappears! I'm more than a little ticked off. I can not find that decal. Needless to say, the cluster would not look right with only three of the four instruments. So I didn't install the other three. Now what do I do? Request anorther decal sheet from Revell for one little decal that looks to me like a little black dot? That seems a little ridiculous. Then it dawns on me. Since these decals are basically nothing more that black dots, why not just paint them in? So, with a micro-brush and a little Tamiya black paint, that's what I did. And I doubt, unless I point it out to anybody, they will never notice the difference. But, what about other small decals. How does one go about installing them? Like I noted, this is the first time this happened to me. I noticed Revell included three of decal #36 for the blue dot taillights in the '29 A roadster kit. When you really only need two. Does this mean they expect that you'll lose at least one?

Very nice.

The above kit is available again. It's put out by a company called Atlantis. Other that the Atlantis logos replacing the Revell name eveything look exactly same as the original. The box, the kit itself, and the instructions. The back side of the instructions include a copy of the Revell dealer "sell sheet." As you can maybe tell, I bought the kit. So far all I've got done in the kit, is the Martian. He looks really cool. I'm not 100% sure about this, but I think I saw something on the web that Atlantis will be reissuing the Phantom kit in near future. Unlike the Flash Gordon kit which I did have as a kid, I never had the Phantom. So I don't know if really all that interested adding that one to my collection.

Very nice. I too love the main body color. Beautiful.

Beautiful! What more can one say?

The car itself is a little too much for me. But, I appreciate the work you've put into. Very nice job.

I'm late to the party on this one. Your "A" Drew is very nice. I like the stance and overall look. The color combo I found a little jarring at first. But, the more I look at it, the better I like. Again, very nice.

Very sharp looking! And I do like the color. But, somebody else brought up Testor's Nassau Blue. I've been working with color on a couple of models lately. I'm thinking it maybe a pretty good match for what I'm looking for on the spy car. The drag version? Still not sure on how to get a close color match to the real car.

Round2 '64 Plymouth Belvedere Lawman Modified Reissue
unclescott58 replied to SteveG's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Steve your right. I was just over at the Hamtrack Registry website looking that the 1964 Plymouth features and equipment book. And your right. The origin "stock" version of this kit can not be build stock because of the bucket seats. In '64, on the full-size Plymouths, bucket seat were only available as standard equipment on the Sport Fury. Fury, Belvedere, and Savoy models all came with bench seats. Now is possible that some Belvedere hardtops were built with buckets despite what the book says? Stranger things have happened. -
With Round 2 issuing the drag version of this car, I want to see a picture of a stock build. And a very nice stock build it is. I'm surprised there wasn't more comments on this model 8 years ago, when it was first posted here.

Round2 '64 Plymouth Belvedere Lawman Modified Reissue
unclescott58 replied to SteveG's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
I wonder why this is not a 2-in-1 kit? With the stock parts for those of us who like that kind of thing. This is not a major problem me, for I have an earlier issue of this kit in my "someday build" pile. But if I didn't, I'd still be passing on this one. Because it can be built only as drag car. That's what was nice about the 2-in-1 and 3-in-1 kits. I got to pick on how I wanted the car to be. This kit is going to be a hit. But, would it be a bigger hit with the option to build it stock? -
Constant paint can bulges, what to do?

Wow! I watched your video and I don't get it. In the last few weeks since this thread was started, I've been watching for dents in the bottom of my cans. I still have not gotten any. I don't think your shaking you any harder than I do? I don't know what's going on here. This is weird. -

Okay. I just play Harry's link posted above. I know very little about music. For some reason I've never heard of Chris Isaak. Yet of heard the song Wicked Games many times before. Until playing the above link, I never knew who that was singing. The name of the song. Or what Mr. Isaak was singing about in the song. Like I say I'm more than a little naive about music. I like song. Even more now that I've seen lyrics. I like Mr. Isaak's voice. If you were to ask me before this who thought was singing, I would have guessed Roy Orbison. Who I also like a lot. Now I'm going to have find out and listen more of Isaak's music. I'm willing to bet I'll have heard more of them.

Thank you Harry.

I too am not for a ban on sugar? I live in the land of the free. And if I choose to kill myself with sugar, I should be able to do so. I'm tired of all this political rightness B.S. I'm not a big fan of Lucky Charms. But, there are a lot worst things I can think of to consume. Alcohol for one. We tryed banning that one about 100 years ago. And how did that work out in the end? I've never heard of a person get into major car accident and killing someone because they ate Lucky Charms. By the way, I don't drink because it's bad for me and I get in trouble when I do. But that does mean I feel it's bad for everybody, and they all should quit consuming alcohol? I'm 58 years old. I hope I'm gone before this type of stuff goes too far. Pass me the Lucky Charms, it sounds like it may get me there a little quicker. But, without taking anybody else with me.

I got bored waiting for it to download. So your just going to have to tell me what the "Wicked Game" is.

???? I personally have seen nothing inappropriate in this entire conversation. The closest I feel we've have come, have been your comments. I've found this thread is very interesting. I don't agree or like several things I've read here. Somethings I've read have made me uncomfortable. But this okay. As long as we're willing to have an adult discussion on subject. To your first paragraph above. Different people handle trauma in different ways. Your right that many vets, not just Vieman vets, will not talk about there experiences. It's taken me many years of therapy to talk to just about anybody about what happened to me in my service to this country. Which is something I more than likely will never share here. But, for many people sharing trauma can be a cathartic experience. And it can be use as a learning tool. Many great talks about and books about horrible things have been voiced and written about by perfectly healthy people though the ages. I am not in Bill's shoes. Did he do the right thing or not in shotting that person? I don't really know. It sounds like he passed the scrutiny of the authorities. And I've read enough from him and had contact with him here to get the felling that he is a pretty decent guy. I did not find his story inappropriate or in bad taste. I found it sad and scary. But, I am an adult and I can handle sad and scary things. I hope I never get into a situation like he was in. But, since I've not been in that exact situation, I'm not willing to judge him on it. There are better people who can do that than I.

What makes men chase women they have no intention of marrying? The same urge that makes dogs chase cars they have no intention of driving. What do men consider housecleaning? Lifting their feet so you can vacuum under them. How does a man change a roll of toilet paper? No one knows - we've never seen it done! Telling a girl to calm down works about as well as trying to baptize a cat. Why do men pass gas more than women? Because women won't shut up long enough to build up pressure. Women don't want to hear what you think. They want to hear what they think - in a deep voice.
