More Ford GT kits. Very cool. I wonder how this Aurora kit compares to other GT 40 kits?

Ordered mine this morning on line. I'm really looking forward to this one. As noted before, I dislike T tops, so I'll be avoiding using them. I plan on building a "stock" Road Runner as close as I can with what's in box. Other than paint. Speaking of paint, I'm not sure what color I want to paint it? Maybe a yellow exterior, with a black interior?

TONKA #7018 1913 Model T "Four-Alarm Call" 1/24

Picture are always nice. Doing a search on line, I did find a few pictures of kit. Mainly the box art. None of the pictures showed enough detail to see if Bud had his goggles on or not. You could see that Bud was there. But that is about it. -

I too have never seen or heard of these kits before now. The Winton would be cool. Especially since it includes Bud. I hope they gave Bud his goggles. I also wonder what the background scene with that kit was? Going to have to do a Google search, and see if I can find pictures of it. -
My plans with this kit are to build the green channeled version shown on the box art. I like that WWII fighter plane look. The problem I have is with the paint. The Olive Green is not hard to find in a spray can. But, what about the Chromate Green in a spray can? I haven't really looked too hard yet for it. With all the military kit builders out there, some manufacture must offer it in a spray can? Tamiya, the makers my favorite type of paint, do not. I'm also debating on what color to paint the engine in this kit. I don't think Engine Orange, like they suggest would be quite right in a military application. At the same time I don't know what color the basic block of something like a P-40 engine would be? I'm sure there is somebody here, even though it's not a military modeling site, that knows what color to go with here.

Never enough Rivs for me. I'd love to see a boattail Riv finally be done. Prefer a '72. But and '71 or '73 would be okay too. And if it's put out by Revell, with the same level of detail as their '77 Monte, I'll be happy with that too. Though the low rider version does not interest me at all. Like I did with the Monte, I would end up waiting the a more stock version to be brought to the market before buying one. It would be nice if Revell offered it was two-in-one. Stock and lowrider right off the bat.

I love the knowledge people on this site have. I always wondered about Bond's Bently. Now I've got the idea what it is.

Great restoration job. The 1972 Impala is still the best looking full-size Chevy of the 70's.

Looks mean. I like it.

1958 Edsel Coupe, Wagon,PU,Convertible..............
unclescott58 replied to V8 Trucker's topic in Model Cars
Nice Eds. Someone here in the Twin Cities built a real Edsel Ranchero using Edsel Roundup wagon parts in the rear area. Haven't seen the car/truck in years now. It looked very nice. I hope it's still around. -
Nicely done.

Ford GT40 Mk II 1966 Le Mans 2nd - or 1st place??
unclescott58 replied to tmathew1us's topic in Model Cars
But Ken Miles was asked to slow down to let the other GT40s come across together. Ford's orders screwed him out of the win. Miles deserved the that win. This has been controversial from moment it happened. Some say from most angles it appeared that Miles did win. But, the officials declared that the car of..... heck, Tom explained it well enough above. Miles should have won. Miles himself was bitter about the outcome. Sad that he died a couple months later. -
Looks great. Good job.

Looks great. The color surprises me. I wouldn't think that color would work on that car as well as it did on your Mustang.
