Beautiful job. The older I get, the better I like Porsche 356s.

I’m bringing this tread back, as I’m wondering since Atlantis now has a lot of both Revell’s and Monogram’s old tools, if there might be any chance of them bringing back either the Poison Pinto or the Rat Vega? As note in past posting here, I’d love to see either of them come back. But, especially the green version of Poison Pinto.

A lovely little roaster (actually both of them). Nice, simple, and clean. I like it. -

Well, the Atlantis folks are as good as their word. Friday, they told the missing parts were on there way. They arrived in today’s mail. That’s fast service. I’m impressed.

Ah, good old T-tops. Let the water begin to come in. I’d never consider buying a car with them, after seeing the problems they caused for just about everybody I knew who had them.

It looks sweet. Very nice.

Happy 4th of July to all who celebrate it with me. Happy 246 years to the good old U.S. of A. And what says more about America to cars guys, than good old American muscle cars? And the peak year (arguably) for America muscle cars? Of course 1969. July’s suggested theme for the next MCCM (Model Car Club of Minnesota) meeting is “Red, White, and Blue. (That meeting by the way, is normally the second Wednesday of every month. This month it will be on July 13, 2022. At the Circle Pines, Anoka county library.) For years now I’ve had AMT/Ertl’s ‘69 Muscle Car SuperSet in collection waiting to be built. In the box? What they claim to be a ‘69 Ford Torino (Really just called just a Cobra by Ford. Torino was not part of its name for the 1969 model year.), a 69 Hurst Olds, and a ‘69 Plymouth Barracuda. The box shows the Cobra in red. The Hurst Olds of course in white. And the Barracuda in blue. Red, white, and blue! Perfect for our club theme! So, a few weeks ago I started building. And just today, on July 4th, I finished putting the final touches on the final car. The decals on the Hurst Olds. (Well, not truly finished. In the next few days I need to put Future floor polish on to protect the decals on the Hurst Olds.) i hope you enjoy my little tribute to America. And her glorious history (car wise any how).

It basically is a toy. And really not that much fun to play. Too limited in what you can do in playing with it. It gets boring real fast. I do like like Woodstock’s calm demeanor on his face. He’s smiling with his eyes closed. He seem little worried that he can not defend the goal. Snoopy on the other hand, doesn’t look as confident. He looks like he’s having a hard time getting the puck past his little buddy.

That’s one I didn’t expect any changes to. It’s still a nice classic kit as far as I’m concerned. The last one I built, turned out good enough for me. Unless something happens to that one, I’ll never being buying another. I do have the Revell Cobra with Ken Miles and Carroll Shelby figures I need to finish. With the old AMT kit, a street (already built) and racing version of the Revell kits. I think I have enough Cobras in my collection.

I pre-ordered the Gurney Lotus Indy car from Auto World this morning. Along with a few pre-order die-cast stuff too. I was disappointed that the Ford Bronco was not listed as being available to pre-order as of yet.

Cousin Bo's '67 GTO....yes, the much hated MPC kit
unclescott58 replied to roadhawg's topic in Model Cars
MPC kits from this time period get bad mouthed a lot. I personally like them. As you’ve shown, with a little basic modeling skill they can be built into fine looking models. Good job. -
I’ve heard mixed things about this kit. Yours sure looks like it turned out okay.
