  1. And this pleases you? Scott
  2. I will be painting mine in Tamyia's TS-26, Pure White. And sorry, I'm one of those who is unable to post pictures to this site anymore. Scott
  3. Henry built the famous Ford Tri-motor airplane. He was hoping it would become to the skys, what the Model T had become for to the roads. And yes, Buddy Holly in particular was great. And music in someways did die that night in Clear Lake, IA that night 56 years ago. Scott
  4. Oh, by the way, another great video review Chris. About the spare tire. The way they show it in the box art, is its correct factory location. The saddle tanks would have been an aftermarket item in the real world. I doubt they would have been chrome plated in real life. But a silver color of some sort. Scott
  5. No top. Soft top. Or hardtop were all factory options on that generation Blazer. Scott
  6. Just got home from work, and found the Fujimi 1/24 scale Ferrari 250 GTO waiting for me. Got it at a good price, and fairly fast from Tokyo Hobby in Japan. Looks like a very nice kit. And I'm very impressed with speed it got to me. Scott
  7. I'd use Tamyia lacquer spray paint. A little bit expensive. But, not that bad and almost fool proof. There are cheaper paints out there. But, I found you get what you pay for. Scott
  8. I love them all. I didn't like the "Zinger" style/"wild" option for these kits. A year ago I got the Jeepster. Built it stock and ignored the "wild" parts. I'd love to add the any of the above kits to my collection. Especially the Vega. Scott
  9. Great news! Any reissue of any Jo-Han kit is great news! Let's hope we see more in the future. Scott
  10. Very cute. I too am wondering if this is scratch built, or base off of some kit. Give us more details on this cool build. Scott
  11. Very, very nice! Though I think "Betty" should have been a little smaller. But, that's just personal taste. It is a beautiful model. Scott
  12. Just this afternoon, I got the Moebius "Jonny Quest Dragonfly/Quest Labs Supersonic Suborbital Aircraft" model. Another home run for Moebius. A very nice and simple kit. Only 13 plastic parts, including the stand. Plus, one decal for the base. I've already have done all the major pre-painting subassembly. Everything goes together beautiful. Two minor parts are down stairs with paint on them already. As noted, a very simple kit. Assembly without painting would take less than an hour. But, it's very well designed with fairly good details. Wonderful panel engraving. The only hard thing I can foresee on this kit is masking the little windows in the clear molded canopy, for painting. Should not be a major problem. Just a bit of a pain. I'm thinking Bare Metal foil, unless somebody has another idea. Fun kit. I paid just under $30.00 with shipping. Well worth the price. Move over Mr Bannon. I'll take over the controls from here. Scott
  13. Now I'm a little confused now on the tailgate decal for the Feathers package. I too have seen a variation on the above ad showing the more elaborate tailgate decal than the one seen on the above photos of the two Blazers with the Feathers package. Maybe the non photographic ad has the original design that did not make it on to the real vehicle. Also on the CST version of the Blazer you got the more elaborate tailgate trim. Maybe the Feathers tailgate decal was left off the CST Blazers? Another question about these decal packages for the real trucks. Weren't they only offered as a factory authorized, dealer installed accessory only? They do not show up as a factory installed item in any of my factory dealer option/price guides. And I only remember them being offered late in the '72 model run. Scott
  14. Thanks for showing us the kit, Gerry. An old classic that will be soon joining my collection. I too noticed the missing "Feathers" tailgate decal. I don't think AMT has ever included in their kit. I also find it interesting that they include Feathers decals for the side windows. I've never seen a real Blazer with the Feathers decals in the windows. I've always though that to be a little odd. Such a minor complaint, it won't stop me from buying one. Now, somebody like Keith Marks should offer the tailgate Feathers decal. Scott
  15. What do people know about the Heller E-type Jag models? Are these new? If not, are they any good? And where's the best place to pick up Heller kits in the United States? Scott
  16. I like the color. Scott
  17. Substitute education para. Corrupting kids for 8 years now. And still loving it. Scott
  18. Beautiful DeSoto. Scott
  19. Very nice. I like it. Scott
  20. Great stories. I'm having a good laugh at some of them. But Kris, you really do need to give us more details on painting your eye ball. Sounds like an interesting story. Not a modeling accident, but a simular story. I have a nice scar in my right hand, just above the wrist. Caused by one of my sisters baking brownies back when we were teens. At the time she was not the best cook (great now though). This pan of brownies came out as hard as rock. Trying to cut a piece and the knife slipped! Close enough to the wrist to scare the you know what out of me. I'm sure she was trying to get rid of me! Me, her favorite (and only) brother. I wonder if need to be watching out still, when eating any of her homemade sweets? Scott
  21. That might be fun. Scott
  22. Wow! The more I see of this kit, the more impressed I am. And yes Tamiya needs to do both a nice Pagoda and an E-type in coupe and roadster. From my experience with other Tamiya kits (and other Tamiya products), they'll have no trouble selling kits like these to me. Scott
  23. I like Niekamp's restored roadster. Now that's cool. Scott
  24. Hey I have nice scar on my left thumb knuckle from an X-acto knife. Cut down to bone. Fall of 1973. Working on a '73 or '74 MPC Roadrunner. So your not alone on this one. Scott
