  1. Yea! Both you and I both get it. It seems like common sense to me. The vendor has indicated he's planning on refunding my money.
  2. I'm okay with MPC keeping the '73 Mustang kit just the way it is in it's latest release, as a '73 Mustang. What I don't like is them doing trying to pass that kit off was a '71 or '72 with just a different grille insert.
  3. I hate to beat a dead horse. But, here are the box art for the original MPC and AMT annuals, and the later MPC/AMT Bos 351s. Again, you can see on the box art how the '73 Mustangs changed in appearance in more than just the front bumper and the grille. The headlamp bezels were also changed. Which I really disliked.
  4. Correct grille? Isn't it too narrow? Designed to fit in the '73 Mustang grille opening, which in turn is set up to accommodate the large squarish headlamp bezels the '73 Mustangs had? It's those headlamp surrounds that bothered me the most in converting my AMT '71 Boss 351 into a '71 Mach I. As you can see, I painted the chrome headlamp bezels flat black, which helped. But, it's still not really right. For either a '71 Boss 351, or a '71 and '72 Mach I.
  5. A fun and odd one in today's mail. Roden's 1/72 Opel Blitzbus Ludewig "Aero" (1937). A neat little model of an odd looking pre-war Opel bus. What's not to like? Roden makes another odd looking Opel bus in the same scale that I should be getting in another day or two. I love weird things like this. Speaking of weird things, I got a Greenlight die-cast '68 Nissan Patrol in today's mail also. The vehicle itself is not weird part. The the vendor shipped it to me is. He took a brand new in the package toy, folded the top of the packaging over, and a stuffed in a box. ????? ? I don't get it! As a collector this no longer new to me. I'm keeping it. But, I've ordered another from another vendor. I'm waiting to see what the first seller has to say, before I leave any feedback.
  6. Just seeing this for the first time. I really like it. It looks right.
  7. I've seen better.
  8. Me too! I expect more. ?
  9. Another one I'm waiting for. I love the both the regular and RS front ends. I maybe lean to the RS front end a bit more. But, we've had enough models of the RS versions over the years. The regular full bumper front end will be a nice change.
  10. Never mind, I re-clicked on another part of the link above, and it took me right to it. I am still looking forward to this kit, big time!
  11. Tapping the link above, took me to 22 pages of searching through everything about Round 2s 2020 planned kits, and not directly to the info on the '64 F-85. So I'm wondering if you could tell us a bit more here Tim?
  12. I really hope this is not the rehash of the old MPC '71 Boss 351 kit. And it will have a correct front end on it. Not just the bumper, but the headlamp bezels/area too. Though being the sucker I am for the '71 and '72 Mach I, and a Bond fan to boot, I'm sure I'll be buying this one no matter what. And I do like the box art shown above, if nothing else.
  13. Now for something totally out of left field. Dreaming of GTO models, I'm still waiting for someone to do a '73 and '74 GTO. I know it will never happen. But, I can dream can't I? As far as the GTO kits that have been offered over years, things have not been great. I have a Revell '66, but have done nothing with it, so I can't really comment on that one. I assume like most Revell's of recent tooling, it's going to be pretty good. I liked the Polar Lights '64s. I don't know how accurate they are. But, they look pretty good to me after I built them. I was happy with both the hardtop and convertible. The last '65 AMT Goat I built was the pre-painted one offered in the late 1990's. It was just okay when finished. But, not very inspiring at all. The two MPC's, the '67 and '72? I have the '67 in waiting. And I built the '72 a year or two ago. The '72 at least is what I expected of an MPC kit of the era. Not great. But okay. I like the way mine looked in the end. I expected that the '67 to be the same. The Monogram Goats? I'm not a big fan of the Judge versions of the GTO, so I've never picked up the '69. I once had their '64. I went as far converting it to a hardtop. I thought it was okay. But, as soon as Polar Lights '64 GTOs came out, I ended up giving the kit away to a friend. I've thought about buying another, and building it as a coupe, since I have the Polar Lights versions to represent the hardtop and convertible variations.
  14. I'm disappointed! It's not a Cobra!? All kidding aside, it's looks very good Ray.
  15. Stunning! Very nice.
  16. Looks great. I've always loved that car.
  17. Very nice.
  18. Thank you. I think so too. They're are fun and simple kits. I enjoy building them. Like I say, I'm hoping Round 2 releases the last 2 in the series. Especially the '40 Ford.
  19. Good looking Stang.
  20. A very pretty car. Nice to see someone build an old Hubley metal kit. I've heard stories that they're not easy to build. I like it.
  21. Last night I finished building the model below. Its Tamiya's 1/35 scale Pkw.K1 Kubelwagen Type 82. It's a very nice kit. I was so impressed with it, that I have also purchased copies of Schwimmwagen, Willys MB Jeep, and Ford G.P.A. Amphibian Jeep. In fact the Schwimmwagen is downstairs getting its coat is of Tamiya TS-3 dark yellow paint as I write this.
  22. Beautiful.
