  1. Gorgeous paint job, and a beautiful build. Well done!!
  2. Looks good Ray! It's really frustrating when you put in the time and effort to try and make every model as good as you can, and end up disappointed. But in the end it goes on the shelf or the case and sits there looking good!!
  3. Finished up the interior, just about got a rolling chassis now. Used the detail up parts for the pedals and the seatbelts. Unfortunately one of the photoetch upper seatbelt retractors flew off my tweezers into the great beyond so i had to make an adjustment. Luckily the upper seatbelt attachment won't be seen so it should be ok.
  4. That is a beautiful start to a Dominator carb. Your work and skill level are truly amazing Francis! I'm happy when I finish and the parts aren't glued to my fingers! Fantastic job on all of the machining.
  5. Very nice looking model.
  6. Excellent build of a great looking car, well done!
  7. Very nice looking, love the color, and your detail painting is very well done!
  8. The body is coming along nicely, looks really good. I'm working on the same model, but trying it with the opening doors.
  9. It looks great, nice clean build.
  10. Very nice build, decals look great!
  11. I've always liked the IMSA models, they are sharp looking cars. Too bad about the decals, that can be very frustrating! That turned out really good, it's a nice clean build.
  12. Finally was able to get back to working on this car. Got the engine compartment finished up and the brakes done. Used the rotors and Lamborghini metal transfers from the Aoshima detail up parts set. Really like the rotors, but had major issues getting the transfers to transfer, come off the backing, and stay in place. Really frustrated overall with the way the engine looks, most of it my own fault. Like all of us I strive to make each model better than the last, that definitely isn't happening this time!
  13. That is about the strangest kit bash I've ever seen, but it turned out really cool. It would definitely turn heads on the road!
  14. Fantastic job so far!! Your level of detail and weathering on that engine is superb! That is definitely a model in and of itself. Where do you get your nuts and bolts from?
  15. Very nice looking, i love seeing Ferraris in less than typical Ferrari colors!
  16. Very well executed, that is one great looking model!
  17. Very nice job, love the large scale funny cars. This was the last car i finished, did the blue US Marines version.

    '71 Duster

Great job, love the stance and engine choice! Definitely not a sleeper!!
  19. Very nice looking build!
  20. Got a little bit done on this, mostly painted parts and started on the engine. First coat of metallic black on the wheels. Need to get another coat on the wheels, but I'm waiting on a new tip for my badger airbrush since I flushed mine down the drain while cleaning it. That sort of put a screeching halt to progress!
  21. Thank you guys! Other than painting and decaling the body twice I really enjoyed this build. Love the large scale even though most of these models need a lot of clean up. Will definitely have to figure out a better way to do the blower hat on the next one, I hate the seam that is left by the two halves. That is one large noticeable mistake on my part!
  22. That is a really nice build, the old 60's - 80's funny cars were such cool looking cars!
  23. I've been wanting to build this for a while, I think it's a beautiful car. I've never built an Aoshima kit, but I've heard great things. Bought the detail up parts just to give it a little more than box stock. Paint well be Scalefinishes Arancio Borealis which is a pearl finish. After opening it up and diving in I think it is definitely going to challenge my skill level. Would love some tips or suggestions from anyone who had built one.
  24. Really nice looking, clean build.

    Jungle Jim

Thanks everyone, I really enjoy the 1/16th scale models. I've always been a big fan of the old funny cars and front engine dragsters.
