  1. This turned out to be one of my most disappointing builds! I was not impressed with the level of engine detail, but was really happy with the interior detail. I used the Aoshima detail up parts kit which provided excellent details for the interior: gauges, seat belts, floor mats, pedals, and aventador floor plates. Unfortunately after fighting with the opening doors for hours and repainting the doors twice I ended up gluing them shut this losing all ther nice interior details. The mesh screen material for all of the vents makes a huge difference in the final detail. The kit went together ok, I knew it was going to stretch my talent level. I'm sure the majority of the issues were my own fault and not the kit. All in all it's done, my frustration is over and it is going on the shelf.
  2. That is a great build of a beautiful race car!
  3. Very nice build, looks nice and clean. I really like that seatbelt set, definitely looks authentic.
  4. Very nice, it looks well raced. Great job!!
  5. Very cool model and great weathering!
  6. Gorgeous paint job, and a beautiful build. Well done!!
  7. Looks good Ray! It's really frustrating when you put in the time and effort to try and make every model as good as you can, and end up disappointed. But in the end it goes on the shelf or the case and sits there looking good!!
  8. Finished up the interior, just about got a rolling chassis now. Used the detail up parts for the pedals and the seatbelts. Unfortunately one of the photoetch upper seatbelt retractors flew off my tweezers into the great beyond so i had to make an adjustment. Luckily the upper seatbelt attachment won't be seen so it should be ok.
  9. That is a beautiful start to a Dominator carb. Your work and skill level are truly amazing Francis! I'm happy when I finish and the parts aren't glued to my fingers! Fantastic job on all of the machining.
  10. Very nice looking model.
  11. Excellent build of a great looking car, well done!
  12. Very nice looking, love the color, and your detail painting is very well done!
  13. The body is coming along nicely, looks really good. I'm working on the same model, but trying it with the opening doors.
  14. It looks great, nice clean build.
  15. Very nice build, decals look great!
  16. I've always liked the IMSA models, they are sharp looking cars. Too bad about the decals, that can be very frustrating! That turned out really good, it's a nice clean build.
  17. Finally was able to get back to working on this car. Got the engine compartment finished up and the brakes done. Used the rotors and Lamborghini metal transfers from the Aoshima detail up parts set. Really like the rotors, but had major issues getting the transfers to transfer, come off the backing, and stay in place. Really frustrated overall with the way the engine looks, most of it my own fault. Like all of us I strive to make each model better than the last, that definitely isn't happening this time!
  18. That is about the strangest kit bash I've ever seen, but it turned out really cool. It would definitely turn heads on the road!
  19. Fantastic job so far!! Your level of detail and weathering on that engine is superb! That is definitely a model in and of itself. Where do you get your nuts and bolts from?
  20. Very nice looking, i love seeing Ferraris in less than typical Ferrari colors!
  21. Very well executed, that is one great looking model!
  22. Very nice job, love the large scale funny cars. This was the last car i finished, did the blue US Marines version.

Great job, love the stance and engine choice! Definitely not a sleeper!!
  24. Very nice looking build!
  25. Got a little bit done on this, mostly painted parts and started on the engine. First coat of metallic black on the wheels. Need to get another coat on the wheels, but I'm waiting on a new tip for my badger airbrush since I flushed mine down the drain while cleaning it. That sort of put a screeching halt to progress!
