  1. Wouldn't it be great to pick one up today for $23.00? Now you have to add a hundred dollar bill or more on to that $23.00!!
  2. I got quite a bit of work done lately. The engine is in the chassis and is almost complete, The seat and harness are both done, the harness was made using Pro Tech parts. I'm now working on the body, wheels, and finishing the chassis. I love these 1/16th funny cars, just wish they weren't so darn expensive!
  3. Your finishes and building skills are always top shelf Alex. This is a beautiful build and I love the color. Your step by step "how to" on the Ferrari F50 you did was extremely helpful when I built mine a couple of years ago. Thanks for sharing your builds.
  4. That is a beautiful color and well executed paint job. Very clean, great looking model.
  5. Looks really good, very nice job on what I would consider a tricky paint job!
  6. The Mustang II was a sorry excuse for a Mustang, but it sure makes for a cool looking funny car! Really nice job, it came out great
  7. That's a great job, nice clean build and the paint looks fantastic!
  8. Very impressive decal work on a beautiful model. Great tip on the dish detergent to aid with decal application, will definitely be trying that.
  9. Impressive to make a glue bomb look that good, great job!
  10. Nice clean build Ray!
  11. I don't usually post in progress pictures but i thought I'd give it a try. I'm working on the Revell 1/16th scale Mickey Thompson Grand Am funny car and i have the engine mostly complete. The A/N fittings are from Pro Tech and Top Studio, and the braided line is from Pro Tech also. The fuel lines into the blower hat and the intake manifold are .035 stainless welding wire with Pro Tech fittings. The plug writes are from the kit and the blower belt is black tape. The barrel valve and linkage are Pro Tech parts also.
  12. Does anyone know of a source of decals for the Revell 1/16 scale Tony Nancy front engine dragster? I have an old kit with no decals so I'm looking for a set or if you know of anyone who makes the decals.
  13. Great looking NASCAR truck! I really like the truck series and they make great looking models. Kind of cool to see one that was never kitted. Good job!! I did this one a couple years ago, really enjoyed building it.
  14. Every single component of this build is a model in itself! That Lenco transmission is just amazing, your machining skills are phenomenal. This is going to be a beautiful truck!
  15. Amazing looking model, outstanding work as always John.
  16. Thanks to all the guys for keeping the contest alive! There were a bunch of great models, glad i could be a part of it. Hopefully we can get together next year in Phoenix!!
  17. Has anyone built the MPC Tom McEwen Tirend front engine dragster? If so what paint and shade of blue did you use for the body and frame? Also, how are the decals and the accuracy of the kit? I'm waiting for mine to arrive in the mail.
  18. First: John Denver, AZ Veterans Memorial Coliseum in 1975 Favorite: Bruce Springsteen, several times Best light show: Trans Siberian Orchestra
  19. Heck of a lot of work but the end result makes it all worth while! Fantastic model!!
  20. I picked up a four pack of Vallejo Metal Color acrylic paint; silver, aluminum, dark aluminum, and steel. So far I've been impressed with their ease of application and how "hard" they cure. Has anyone tried their chrome paint? I have heard that the Vallejo is more durable than Alclad and you don't have the lacquer smell. I know a lot of aircraft modelers use Vallejo, but how about car guys?
  21. Can never go wrong with Arizona Highways, a true classic!
  22. I'm trying to follow along in the instruction manual but I can't seem to find what page you are on let alone what step you're on!! This is some amazing scratch building and kit bashing.
  23. Very clean build, really nice
  24. Great looking gasser, very nice build.
  25. Wheels look great! What did you use for the brake line?
