  1. What probably should have been a mid 60's fantasy best-of-both-world's sports car, doesn't work for me at all: a Cobra with a E-type Jaguar style front (and trunk lid), some Ferrari elements thrown in - it is just ugly, the whole proportions are not right! Why didn't they do an Apollo instead (also known as "Thorndyke Special" from Herbie, the love bug) ? This does look right and is a real car (even if built in small numbers with the Buick V8) - if it must have been an "American exotic" !
  2. Hi Warren, the (now) ivory color suits this IH very well - looks like a typical fleet truck. I've read somewhere (don't remember where) that the bumpers have been cut back then to avoid tire damage by bent bumpers which could cut into the rubber when a truck hit a deere at highway speeds. I've got no idea if this might be a plausible explanation !? Maybe any of the truckers here on the forum knows more about this?
  3. Very impressive Kenworth, Ken !
  4. In my opinion, the definitive surf woody...
  5. looks like a wolf in a sheep's cloth - the REAL sleeper !
  6. Nice Porsche, André ! Revell Germany had "car metallics" as spray paints long ago (I still have some) to avoid this problem, but I've got no idea if they offer them still...
  7. Great build of one of the finest-looking American car designs ever !
  8. Very nice, Ray !!! it almost looks like it had polished aluminium body panels - so no painting does distract from the bare form - just great !!!
  9. Great looking old iron, Lee - you really have something to be proud of - I'm sure that your truck gets a lot of admiration and attention at shows.
  10. Very nice, Warren ! (I did mine almost in the same livery - box stock - in about 1984) , would also be a candidate for reissuing !
  11. What a way to enter a modeling forum!!! A great looking model of one of the most beautiful Italian sportscars ever showing your excellent craftsmanship! Very nice!
  12. They announced a Ferguson tractor, which should come out later this year (though I have my doubts...)
  13. I believe there was no '57 HT and no '55 Convertible - please correct me if I'm wrong. 30 years ago, I bought two of them each and made a '55 Convertible in cutting off the roof from the HT and re-attached it onto the '57 convertible to get a '57 Hardtop so that would result in having HT, Convertible and Nomad of both years.
  14. Very nice Mack Coe, Jan ! And it even carries the name of my all-time favourite rock band, lol.
  15. Very nice Mopar, I like it!
  16. Superb Ferraris, Matt!!!
  17. Great looking Edsel, Raoul! Very nice!!!
  18. Very nice resurrection, Al ! From a junker to a showroom star ! Being myself a '59, I like this Edsel very much - I wish I had one in my stash!
  19. Fantastic little street-burner, Ville!!! I totally forgot that the 600 had chain-driven rear wheels.
  20. Great historic racer, Larry! Apart from the rollbar being a bit too far back, you really hit the nail with this one: stripes, roundels, engine and interior details - super!!! (and I thought the Tiger was a boring kit so I missed it years ago when amt reissued it in their Blueprinter series....)
  21. Excellent Dodge camper, Tom !
  22. Can anyone tell me what's the big deal in this kit and why ebay offers fhave been ridiculously overpriced in the past? I think there is much more benefit in the other version: you get 10 wheels, 3 rear axles, a longer frame and you have the choice between sleeper cab or daycab (with some work). For me, there is no obvious advantage in the single-axle daycab - that would make sense only for a boxart-collector....
  23. Well-built Bertone coupé - let's see more Alfas !!!
  24. Very nice build of a beautiful 50's classic !
