  1. Very clean looking build - one of the most astethically pleasing F1 car of the 90's.
  2. Good looking F100 - or should I say poor? Anyway, perfect weathering of this trusty old PU - and now off to the body shop for a restoration!
  3. Looks great with its aggressive nose-down rake.
  4. Here is a road version from 1976 driven by Franz Wittmann, multiple Austrian rally champion, in a road test for the Austrian autorevue magazine:
  5. You've come to the right place, Bill - all of us are plasticoholics !
  6. 3 models from Modelissimo (Germany) arrived this week: as they were on sale, I paid about € 12 each for the Opel and the VW and € 16 for the Porsche (+ shipping): Here they are: the 1972 Opel Commodore B is from the German Opel series (opening doors): the VW is the 1974 VW Brasilia from the Mexican series (no openings) - I bought this one mainly for its wheels because I want to build a Porsche Salzburg VW Beetle 1303 S rally car (Winner of the Rally d'Elba 1973) which has exactly the same. And finally the Porsche 356 from Whitebox: it is an early 356 A from 1955 - excellent proportions and fine details: All of these are made by IXO.
  7. Perfect decaling on this good-looking curbside Jaguar, Steve (I built the Silk Cut version way back then)
  8. Excellent, Shawn - the decals and wheels are fantastic, also the paint. The car looks almost like a 1972 Opel Commodore with 1972 Chevelle front and rear ends crafted on.
  9. Mark, you did a wonderful job here - excellent, highly detailed model ! I tried 1/43 in my younger days (more than 30 years ago), but gave up on it: too small, too fiddly for me - you really deserve the name Scale-Master !
  10. Mario, I still don't know how you manage to crank out so many nice models in such a short time...
  11. Pierre, Gary's BMW 3,0 CSL (Tokyo Maruii) looks great, but the 3,5 CSL from ARII/Micro Ace only looks good on the box lid, but is really awful - body distorted (grill and headlights too small, front spoiler huge!, wheels too tiny, tires too fat ==> it looked like the box of the US Airfix version in your post(could have been the same kit), the decals are junk, the whole kit is a mess - so I sold it a few years ago. The Gunze 365 GTB however, is a toy and not a model kit in my eyes with a very shallow stock ( !) interior and a sheet with racing decals - the body shows similarities with the real car, the rest is totally useless (eventually for slot racing). I wanted to take some pics, but could not find it anywhere.
  12. This looks like a well-used racer from back then - very nice details and weathering (and of course, the base-plate, too)!
  13. Excellent manufacturing of the grille, Dave !
  14. Similar with me: I started ca. 1969 with sailing ships and 1/72 airplanes from Airfix, moved on to their 1/32 car kits (in plastic bags!), in the mid 70's a few Matchbox 1/32 cars. I really started in 1982 with 1/25 American trucks and cars and have now moved to 1/24 (mainly) sports and race cars.
  15. Very nice model, Rich - I was thinking the same as Gary (NO race car this time?) but I now remember other non-racers from you, f. e. the Jaguar E's and some more...
  16. Looks good, Rex - I guess this is the tilt/Maruii kit ?
  17. Super-clean build of anAmerican icon, Anders - excellent paint and detailing/foiling!
  18. With your fine detailing and excellent weathering you really brought this kit to life and turned it into a remarkable model, Pierre ! Juan would be pleased to see it - very realistic !
  19. Arrived today via mail (ebay Germany): I stumbled over this fine body kit (made in Italy by BRM, intended to become a 1/24 slot racer) with crisp details and even photo-etched parts which will be turned into a static model using the old Heller 512 S as a donor kit for chassis, drivetrain and interior: It comes with 3 different versions of rear wings and compares very well with Fisher's Sunoco 512 M:
  20. Well done Pierre - I'm glad that I took a last look into the forum before going to sleep. This one has the definitive "end-of-race" look without being battered or damaged - the wheels turned out fantastic - did you use the kit tires (or are these amt Firestones with rubbed off side lettering) ? IIRC, Mercedes used Continental rubber back then.
  21. Thanks, but these are not builds, but die-cast models. My only work here was taking pictures.
  22. Excellent - a truly fantastic model - the F1 cars of the 60's and 70's had character and each one had a different look - superb !
  23. Looks great ! More pictures, please !!!
  24. Though I'm not a fan of these ultra-modern extreme hypercars, you have created a marvellous model here - paint finish is outstanding, too!
