    Ordered arrived safely in about 3-weeks. They forgot to include the PE parts for a trans-kits I ordered. After I brought it to their attention they sent out the replacement parts promptly. I will order from them again.

    Not a Nova expert but IMHO the Revell is a significant improvement over the AMT.

    Glad you enjoyed it Nigel. Yes I believe the intent of the scoop is to cool the rear brakes. Best I can determine they were open when the conditions were warmer and/or tarmac rallies and covered for colder conditions and/or full gravel events.

    Wire coat hangers are close to the same diameter at least for car kits, not sure about truck models.

    It wasn't my original intent to go all out on these builds but as usual for me that is kind of where they end up. I have bogged down a bit but I will finish them.

    I believe the black tank on the firewall is an oil catch can, sometimes referred to as a "puke" tank. Often they are connected to the valve covers. I think you are correct, the hose from the fuel log is for a fuel pressure gauge. The black bottles on the inner fender I believe to be brake and clutch fluid reservoirs. No expert just my educated guesses.

    Maybe in lieu of abandoned you could model it post race, being torn-down in the garage, engine out for a rebuild.

    Nice work on the patina. I like the JDM Legends shop truck too. I did a build of this kit inspired by that truck.
