Did any of these IMC tires resurface during the Lindberg ownership, and if the tooling is usable would it be a good move for Round-2 to use them on future re-releaes of selected ex amt/mpc kits?

Also what I don't see in the current car model kit range is an ambulance. a van could be a starting point to create one.

IMHO, if one would think of tooling up an all new series of kits of this gen van, semi curbside would be the way to go, meaning no engine but a detailed suspension so that both rear- as well as all-wheel driven variants can be offered. The money otherwise spent on an opening hood and engine bits, can be used to tool up dress up features, and interior detail, opening back and or side doors. Just my 2 cents.

No, you're not remembering wrong, there is an Mpc Ford Van with round headlamps, this one for sure cuz I have one in the stash.

What I would like to know is, if it is possible to scale down the 1/20th scale Econoline (and other worthwhile kits, like the AMX) into the common 1/25th scale, meaning scanning an vintage kit and doing some math in the scanning problem, or am I seeing this too simplistic? Anyone here with some knowledge on the issue? Thanks in advance! Luc

What if Round2 would backdate it, to a sixties or seventies street machine, box-art a black car with yellow flames on mags with the tail a little higher Would it fly?

I'm a fan of those early versions, so bought a stack of them back then, when ebay was a new thing and the winning bids were doable. The plan for in my head {got many of those} for one of the early window versions is to do it as an 4x4 Alaskan polar bear tour bus/ Alaskan camping site shuttle bus with polar bear graphics... Wishful thinking on my part, but who knows and maybe the folks of Round-2 will eventually beat me to it, and release such a vehicle or similar, like a Tornado chaser

Pure speculation on my part, but it looks like all went to Atlantis, except some of which the tools were in China, like the Mack truck, tanker trailer, fire engine and the Malibu.

Although having the Airfix boxing, the Mako-Shark would be nice to have, the Charger III reminds me of a King size Matchbox I had as a kid.

IIRC besides the 1/32nd scale the Monogram Snap-tite big rigs were 1/25th scale too.

Had the same in my mind when reading some of the comments, I still remember 39 years ago as a teenager ager getting the '83 Monogram catalog right after the Nürnberg trade show and wanting the Mustang convertible, which was scheduled for release in September of that year, one part of me wanted it to be September already, another oh no, it's after the summer break!

I seem to remember that one could buy decal sheets from Round-2, maybe inquire?!

Round2 or any other model kit company for that matter, is in business to make money selling dreams, the more appealing the wrapper the higher the sales, if these kits are built or not by the end user is of lesser importance, yet it's nice to get feedback from those who do and enjoyed the ride, but let face it most of them end up un- or half-built in a land fill. They're probably fixing the post breaking issues caused by the ejecting part of the molding cycle, but that's also just speculating Cheers Luc
