What would YOU like to see as a model

The container issue is the big factor, there's a shortage, prices to have one, skyrocketed overnight, so I'm guessing it's kind of a bidding war to have one fast. Dunno how the shortage came about, but remember a few years ago someone telling me that it was cheaper to scrap a container when it did it's job entering good into the US/Europe/.... then to send it back empty to China.

Yellow Fever Competition Coupe, Keeler's Kustoms
Luc Janssens replied to stavanzer's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Thank you for posting these pics, Jim! One can really make the parts pop using metalliser paint and also not having to scrape off the plating is a plus too Again thanks, and puts this kit on my shopping list. -
Been reading the comments and think one has to give this company some slack, they were a small time operation or at least gave that impression to me, which more or less, were given a ton of obsolete (to the new owners of what was once Revell-Monogram) tooling and started putting what was production ready or almost, into..... well, production. On some they had to re-create parts, so a tool which only had scrap value, could again eject commercial product and make them money. All of this costs truckloads of money, and frankly I'm amazed they're pulling it off, and have plans to do even more. So kudos to them, and looking forward to what they will do next.....

Hey guys, Thanks for the support, but I know Steve meant well by correcting something, which I apparently have miswritten for ages In the written language it's harder to express a certain sentiment or feeling, than talking face to face. Man.... I can't wait till the day comes, that I can make it States side again to meet old and new friends too. About my language skills, I speak, read and write Flemish,(with an Antwerp accent) which is Dutch with some differences, verbally I also can make my point go across in German and French, reading German is no problem French takes a while, tho writing in both those aforementioned languages is a no no Cheers Luc

Maybe you're just kidding, but there's a whole world outside the US Bill I'm from Belgium and there are all kinds of shortages, from computer chips to food products, talk with people who deal with international trade and you learn a lot. Covit-19 created havoc in a well oiled machine and the war in the the Ukraine, killed the repair guy.

The XS wheelsets would be great for this kit too, only problem tho, where did the tooling go?

A big parts pack then? Kinda wonder what Jim will come up with when dealing with the ex-Revell Mopar annuals. -
Oops, sorry have a mild form of dyslexie, thus sometimes read words the wrong way

What happened with him and what did he do with the non Aoshima tire tooling?

I drive a 2018 Sprinter company van , IMHO they're comfortable and fast enough to keep up with traffic. Here it is parked in front of our house....in the middle of the street.....
-
Kinda odd that they removed the roof ribbing, but since the GMC specific parts are still there anything is still is possible, tho while I'd like to have a window van I doubt it will ever return, the same for the Mpc Dodge window van, of which I was able to buy a few copies over the years. The plan for one of them is to make some sort of 4x4 Alaskan polar bear tour bus out of it, but need to find the compact Ford Econoliner or F series 4x4 system, and then there's graphics Yeah I'm full of wacky idea's, 'till I sit on da bench.....Then I pull out another kit and my mind goes into overdrive on how to do that one, yeah, I'm totally bonkers LOL

I hope at least they will look into it.

Dunno, in the '70s a custom Van was fun a expression in custom paint, todays Vans a tool IMHO of course The most beautiful van again IMHO is the mid '70S Dodge custom Van and a blank canvas for decal artists to work their magic

I don't care about the 1/20 scale, but do wonder if those kits would generate interest, if they were scanned and resized in 1/25th scale and if it would be technically possible to do so.
-
Kinda wonder if there would be interest thus subsequently ROI on redoing in 1/25th scale, the old Mpc 1/20th scale kits of the Amc AMX and the early '70s Ford Econoliner, and if it would be doable for them to do so. Thoughts please. Cheers Luc

Big 'n' Classic - Lindberg 1/20 cars!
Luc Janssens replied to Faust's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Got a few, IMHO Mr. Toteff had the right scale in mind, but not the medium. if he had these released as build diecast from the Sixties on, there never would've been 1/18 Diecast, and probably hurt the plastic model it industry much sooner. About the kits themselves, one would expect better detail when going bigger. -
