there's more to it, body wise...the trunklid is different too, and there's the matter of the rockerpanels. Interior, I'm pretty sure the upholstery differs too.....

Yes there are still deals to be made, but you'd have to be patient and on the lookout like a sniper, a couple of years ago I was able to buy a mint '66 Chrysler 300 for 50 Euro on ebay Spain, luckely at the time I had a colleague at work who could speak and write Spanish. -

Yep, I'm glad I stocked up when prices were do-able, yet a few slipped away and doubt I will get those...but hey, most of the time the chase is better then the kill -

For a couple of years I had an open email line with the R&D guy from Revell Germany, his name Ulli Taubert, but IIRC shortly after Hobbico purchased them, he and several others left or retired, the new crew as far as I know is also the current, so no change in their bussiness plan, though I do see that there's a 2-5 euro price increase, on new released kits in their car model kit lineup. -

I asume it will be tough to re-gain the shelf space of Hobby Lobby and the like, once the current stock evaporates.... -

A few years ago, Revell Germany had a online wish list, wonder where that went, and if it was usefull or too manipulated, and therefore dumped.

Future of the hobby

My kid (age 10), built some kits with my help, but looks he's more interested in Lego, that it is untill my wife bought him a Cat. Who knows maybe the cat will turn him into a Kat later on..... -

Indeed, more then double the price from 2001, for what....new improved decals and better tires...while Revell sells their all new kits for €25.00 (RG) or €33 (R-M) -
Great build! It also shows that this kit has much more potential then, DOH or Goon car. IMHO Round-2 should take a look at the box-art of the Yodel Monaco/Fury kits for inspiration, and your build too of course

Good catch, for those who don't see it, look at the script on the faux wood trimpanel above the glovebox

I'm guessing that by the time the general public knew about it, everything was sorted out. -
