  1. That shop and a automotive book store, were definite stops whenever I was in the area.
  2. The font clip is different, IMHO the worst looking snout of the Pinto generation.
  3. Can't one glue a fine strip of polystyrene where the crease should be and then wet (paper wrapped around a rubbery block) sand it the full length, to blend it in? Just thinking out loud...
  4. Great work Jürgen!, brings me back to the 80s Happy holidays!! Luc
  5. Back in the day when Ertl was tooling up the all new Amt 2nd gen. Camaro model kit, they should've considered doing the Poncho twin, and the changes both models went thru, during the decade they were produced. I'm sure the engineers tried to, but that marketing told them "every man his trade"
  6. I'm still waiting on news from my vendor
  7. Revell Germany also does it that way, tooling done in China, production in the EU (Poland)
  8. Remember filling in that order form and sending it in....then a month or two later (surface mail) receiving the kits.
  9. Oh my...I'm stocking up on Revell '94 impala SS's for their underpinnings
  10. plus... since model car kits, were most of the time siblings from promo-tools for which the OEM picked up the tab, versus now, where the model kit manufacturers pays a licensing fee, to have the authorization from the OEM, to tool up one of their designs as a scale model kit and even have a say in how the product will be portrait on the box-art!
  11. Just had a great deal today, in fact anyone in Belgium can have that deal, just bought an extra re-boxed by Revell Moebius Prostar truck, for a whopping 20 euro, at a national big box toy chain, the truck tire sets Moebius sells cost even more. Do I need it right now, nope, but I'm sure at one point in time, parts of it can be used, or heaven forbid they all of a sudden become rare and sell for mega bucks on ebay
  12. Find it odd that when comparing some prices the re-releases of Round-2 cost more then fresh engineered kits from Revell. Maybe Round-2 should also design more all new kits, cuz it seems cheaper then restoring old tooling
  13. Yes Italeri truck tires, they're in the new Mercedes-Benz Actros truck kit
  14. Non brand tires with sidewall detail, speed codes and dimensions..
  15. Hmm...maybe I'll have my copy 'round Christmas then...
  16. While not an exact replica, your model sure catches the gist of it! Too bad Revell designed their S&H as a one trick pony, cuz would've liked a Ranchero sibling as well as a wagon or a '72 Fast and Furious GTS, I dream, but you create my friend.
  17. Amazing job, love it! Can't wait to see the vehicle on which it gets mounted (hope that's the right term)
  18. If I was able to buy a big Poncho in '67, (I was still in the making back then) I would've gone to the used cars section of the dealership to get me a '66 model. This is (to me) a realy awkward styled car especially the front end, BUT even-though I'm not a fan of this model year, Al.... you did a great job on the resto!
  19. If you have the skills (like you) you can turn any mediocre kit into a nice display model! And while you build looks great, it also shows the design flaws in the marquee.
  20. You'll have to take into account which donor kits are available to finish what you list.
  21. The kit can be build with a Tunnel Ram Intake, which makes the hood with cut out mandatory, the kit also includes "turbo muffler" tailpipes, custom steering wheel, wire wheels and go faster graphics on the decal sheet as extra's. According to the instruction sheet, the stock engine can be build either as a 350, or a 396 It doesn't have side pipes, nor does it have the option to build it with a '70s rake. IMHO it's a pretty lame kit, and the 2000ish newly designed tool, rendered it obsolete.
