  1. The '73 model was more or less available that way..
  2. Did my part, they posted it and now you have to vote.... Look here!
  3. what's the story on those 1956 Michigan plates, were they on the original car too?
  4. ...just an idea.....when you have everything designed, try to sell this to one of the model companies, or if they don't bite a diecast company.
  5. Good job. About the '64 version, if you look and wait long enough, I'm sure a '64 will pop up on ebay, but since they're from 1964, I'll. bet they will be a bit pricey, but sometimes a nice built one, can be bought for less.
  6. Welcome in this small, but dedicated group of automotive modelers.
  7. Both Mpc as Monogram had the '78 El Camino, Monogram had two versions, a molded in black "Black Knight" stock kit and a molded in red El Macho, with another grille, camper top, and hood with a small air intake. The built looks like a combination of both Monogram kits
  8. Hang in there Harry, my thoughts are with you, and as others said, inform your family.
  9. Been in the automotive mfr biz for about 20 years, the better part in pilot (building prototype and pilot vehicles at R&D and then translating the whole shebang into a line jobs at the production plant. the later years I was in quality assurance, guarding quality and policing QC. Now I'm a heating technician, which was a serious career change, but what else can one do, when the big automotive manufacturers pull out of Belgium....
  10. If the lowrider community buys it in bulk, it stands a chance, but believe it, when I see it.
  11. WHAT!, No Pics! Art you're killing me! Can't believe it's almost a year since I saw that built test shot in Toledo and met you and Dave. Anyway the kit is on pre-order at my favorite US dealer.
  12. That's a remainder from retooling the body tool, if you have an original chopped roof Pro-Modeler '69 Charger, you can see that there no such thing on the C-pillar. 'bout the backseat, the Landy kit has one. Anyway, like what I see here, but will wait for the stock version. I too find it bizarre that there's no exposed headlamp option, if it were me, I would've molded the grille separate from the loop bumper, for easier detail painting and for offering the kit with or without hidden/exposed headlamps.
  13. AMG built BMW engine?
  14. If we only could convince the guys at Revell to downscale their 1/8th scale '79 Firebird....
  15. Maybe not Harry, if the hole would be part of the core of the tooling. BTW Tim & Bob made me go back to this tread, after reading their comments, on the all new Amt Camaro glue kit postings...
  16. The parts breakdown of the Bronco looks real nice, too bad Revell didn't lay out the parts for the racing 'vette the same way, cuz I'm liking that one too. Da Boyz from Elk Grove did good.
  17. I don't think you have to pay 56% taxes on your salary and it goes up if one works more, like on weekends to have an extra buck, in short, we're punished for working. Also the utility bills are way up there, think we pay the highest price in the whole EU, for electricity. but back to the regular program now, the price of automotive model kits....(PM me for off-topic, thanks!)
  18. Filled in the online form, will see if anything will come from it, cuz my wife and me are fed up of the way they govern Belgium.
  19. Wide open roads, modern cowboy's in a steel 400HP horse, that's why... Here in Europe truck drivers since the downfall of the iron curtain, over night became modern slaves, underpaid in a over legislated profession, (read hunted by police for fines)
  20. That's why I collect model kits, Dave. But if I had the cash, a '66 Bonneville hardtop, a '67 Mustang fastback, a '67 GTO hardtop and a '69 Charger would be in my garage... It would be easier If I would be living in the USA, so if you know of a company who's willing to hire a foreign heating tech and know where they need a highly trained nurse (my wife) gimme a call....
  21. It's a good thing that they abandoned the new concept thingy, and this truck proves that after the Iveco that they again moved to being a model kit company instead of a toy manufacturer. Seeing the pics take me back to the day that, I as a 12 year old, with the help of my dad, built their first 1/24th scale truck kit, the Volvo F12, time sure flew past since then.....
  22. In this day and age of instant information, I think such dogs could put today's manufacturer in serious financial trouble...
  23. In a way it's good news, because it will mean that for that higher price, customers will expect a higher quality, which means more room for smaller operations like Belkits, which should worry a manufacturer like Round-2, since they ride on nostalgia, not only in subject matter but technology as well..and dunno how much longer today's and future discriminating modelers will accept that kind or type of automotive model kits.
  24. Maybe Dave could be talked into adding value his premium priced ltd run kits, like adding a whole lotta racing stuff plus including all the stock parts. But then again, it could cut in the sale-ability of regular Moebius kits......and end the partnership.
