Does putty soften plastic?
Belugawrx replied to topher5150's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I have had the same experience while contouring wheel arch flares with Milliput Super Fine White, water does help it smooth out and softens it quite a bit, very easy to feather out...don't know what's in it, but it works -
Really nice work on that Chevy Daniel ! More pics of the eye candy engine bay please..lol Cheers

Understated pinstripe....cool Looking great Charles ! -
Thanks Mark, but I tell ya, Ziggy (my Husky) is shedding her undercoat right now, and I am about to lose my mind... Anyway, this is the final mockup for masking.... Took off the flourescent front fender tag..just didn't fit in...I see the line where the red needs to follow down the side skirts to the front fender, and it'll get another red chevron on top...lot's of fun taking apart and putting back together... Cheers

Fixing scribing mistakes
Belugawrx replied to countrypapa's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I've got a bottle of goo on the bench for just those occasions I fill an old bottle of Tamiya thin with MEK (methyl ethyl ketone) and drop bits of sprue in it to dissolve...it becomes liquid, or, goopy styrene, which when dry, sands out just like ....styrene. -
Nice wiring detail...what gauge wire is that..? Interior is looking good too!
