  6. fantastic finish of a great car!
  7. Wow, that looks like a labour of love!
  8. Those decals look precarious!
  9. Looks great, and I love the subject!
  10. Shame about the paint, I get the same issues, normally nothing with masking tape, then one day, boom, it's buggered.
  11. Impressive scratch building there!
  12. Updates over Christmas, assembly has got to the stage where I really need to make a start on the body shell...! No real issues with the build so far - well - only the decals falling apart. This Tamiya Kit is well engineered and goes together well. But don't get me worng, it's still a challenge for a novice like me...
  13. Making more progress on this one: Windows polished, but look more scuffed than polished! I painted the window surrounds by masking and hand painting section-by-section and started to assemble the body. The main issue was the fit of the Glass into the body, was very poor, so had to hold it in with clamps whilst the PVA set, but this damaged some of the C pillar paint finish. But it's relatively minor, I'm not going to fix it! Still struggling with the decals, the number plate decals split when trying to coax them into place, I'm getting worried now, I've only ever once had issues with decals, but now my last three model sets have all had issues...
  14. It's a great build, the cast kind of looks like a Datsun to me!
  15. Love it, it's a dream car for me...
  16. I'm the same as you, body painting and gloss finishes scare me, but chassis and interiors are fine(ish) this car came out great!
  17. Lovely colour and great finish!
  18. Fine one for the display cabinet!
  19. that paint job is top notch! Well done...
  20. Wow! that's impressively detailed for something so small!
  21. Thanks Paul! yes I've used brush before & has it bleed (on window frames) so I do avoid that and go with the AB.
  22. Bought a Molotow Chrome Pen (1mm) and used it for the chrome. It's not easy, but much easier than BMF.
