  1. amazing recovery so far, looks like an old monogram kit.
  2. Nice stacks and wheels!
  3. So applying to a spoon is one thing, but on a body, an entirely different kettle of fish... I tried to coat the 1K over the body, using the same technique as I did with the spoon, and it was a bit patchy. Plus I had a bit of dust embedded. I tried to sand too soon, and ended up ruining the clear-coat. I tried to recover it, but it didn't work. SO I keyed the whole body again, and re-sprayed the body. a few shots of that to follow. Only need to clear coat again now... but it'd getting cold...
  4. And this is how they came out. They'd have been better with a deeper wash, but it'll do...
  5. Hi Curtis! I used thinned down Tamiya acrylic over Alclad II satin clear coat. What I did then, is wiped off as much as I could - using lacquer thinner, and re-sprayed a few light coats of beige/cream, and I'm not going to try to re-wash.
  6. It's looking fantastic, what are you going to.clear coat with?

  11. Love it!
  12. Love this kit, coming along fantastically!
  13. Looks great so far, the top of the engine looks convincing considering you scratch built it...!
  14. Some progress! But I'm still not having much luck with the black wash, these seats will have to be resprayed. I've never had a problem with Tamiya decals before, but these ones fall apart with just a nudge with a brush. Both the main dials fell apart & it was a struggle to get them into the dash... Next step is to flock the interior or start on the body
  15. these details are great, but the car is worth it!
  16. great start
  17. Top notch this build, looks hard to distinguish from the real thing.

  22. You can't post a real car here... Only kidding, it looks great though.
  23. That silver box is strange, but the rest of the truck is sweet, great weathering!
  24. Fantastic truck! I love how the paint looks to scale & the details are near perfect!
