  1. Ash, this looks great, like the mods!
  2. Very shiny, very nice!
  3. It would take me 8 hours just to strip parts off the spurs, well done!
  4. I've bought loads from them, and they're great. Expensive shipping, but then again shipping is expensive! They have never had everything in sick that I have wanted, and they don't allow me to order everything, then wait for it all to come into stock before shipping. By the tune one thing comes into stock, some of the other things have gone out of stock... And as shipping is dear, I tend to build up what I need...
  5. I use the thin Tamiya glue all the time, but never for clear parts. When you do use it, you add a little bit close to where you want it, and it draws into the joint. Be careful that it doesn't get drawn into areas that you don't want it to go. It follows a path, there is no other control. Good luck!
  6. Did anyone else see the Spanish grand prix this weekend? I thought it was great, going to be a great season, hope it goes down to the wire, and also hope my man Hamilton wins... Also looking forward to Alonso in the 500, looks interesting!
  7. Good luck! I could never have the patience to redo something I'd already finished! Enjoy...
  8. Front seats have been filled, sanded filled and sanded about 5 times now, so it's holding up completion of the interior. Also the filling on the body bumpers is slowing me down again, I feel like it's 1 step forward 2 steps back with filling & sanding... Anyway, lots of masking, and spraying for the 2 tone interior. And cut off the tailpipes for some alu tube...
  9. Sweet ride!
  10. Thanks! Thankss to, it is nail polish thinned with laquer thinner Thank you sir! I've finished it now, just waiting for the number plates to be added, then it''' be in the finished section. I too didn't like the wheels, too small, and not low profile enough...
  11. Interesting colour combo! I like seeing builds that are different to the norm...
  12. Really tidy finish & nice car too!
  13. Great build! And I do not think that you are Cuddling the models...! Build looks good, and I feel for you on the glue falling out! sand it, mask it & respray black is what I'd do...
  14. Sweet Ride!
  15. So I have conducted a spoon test on the paint, and it didn't turn out so good. lots of dark spots & not a deep enough coverage. Also, it looks like it needs a metallic base. So I'll do another spoon test after filtering the paint & putting some metallic base down. Seats are ready to be sprayed! Finally, I always mess up with the spoiler, I can't get a good finish with the paint unless I paint before assembly, but then I mess up the car by getting glue everywhere. So this time, I made some attachment holes, there really wasn't much space on the supports of the spoiler, and I drilled straight through it, but a bit of putty & that should be fixed...
  16. Looks great!
  17. I like the idea of building some skills on this model, it's looking good...
  18. The finish on the body is excellent!
  19. Amazing work! I would normally use this Forum to replicate some of the excellent work, but your stuff is way out of my league...!
  20. After having stance issues with the Porsche you can see in the background, I thought I'd check the height of this once, and it looks just right! The seats have something strange moulded into them, which means some careful sanding, and some interior parts are finished with Humbrol blue, coated in Alclad satin. The window has two large streak marks across the front windscreen and rear glass, it looks terrible, but doesn't photograph, the worst think is the attachment to the sprue, it's not in a clever place, it will have to be sanded and polished...
  21. Some progress on this model. But it's always 3 steps forward, two steps back. It is really badly designed, there is no surface area to glue surfaces together, so I have applied as much glue as I dared, taped it together, and then after a couple of days, I applied loads more glue after removing the tape... Unfortunately this meant getting glue on the car, so I had to do a bit of sanding, polishing, and on the black trim, re-painting. Then it sat too high - like about 3mm too high. so I've hacked up the front suspension and fitted spacers in and cut the struts down... feels like it's lasting forever!
  22. Hi Michael, there was absolutely nothing wrong with the kit, it went together neatly, just the PE front grille was awful... I'm sure there's a knack to it, but I don't know what it is... you can check out my WIP...
  23. Nice job! great finish...
  24. Neat build, looks great!
  25. Well it looks great from the pics! It's such an expensive kit too, shame it didn't go together too well, you can't see the streak of glue on the window, so you've done well to clean it up... Do feel for you, it happens to me all too often...
