  1. Interesting colour combo! I like seeing builds that are different to the norm...
  2. Really tidy finish & nice car too!
  3. Great build! And I do not think that you are Cuddling the models...! Build looks good, and I feel for you on the glue falling out! sand it, mask it & respray black is what I'd do...
  4. Sweet Ride!
  5. So I have conducted a spoon test on the paint, and it didn't turn out so good. lots of dark spots & not a deep enough coverage. Also, it looks like it needs a metallic base. So I'll do another spoon test after filtering the paint & putting some metallic base down. Seats are ready to be sprayed! Finally, I always mess up with the spoiler, I can't get a good finish with the paint unless I paint before assembly, but then I mess up the car by getting glue everywhere. So this time, I made some attachment holes, there really wasn't much space on the supports of the spoiler, and I drilled straight through it, but a bit of putty & that should be fixed...
  6. Looks great!
  7. I like the idea of building some skills on this model, it's looking good...
  8. The finish on the body is excellent!
  9. Amazing work! I would normally use this Forum to replicate some of the excellent work, but your stuff is way out of my league...!
  10. After having stance issues with the Porsche you can see in the background, I thought I'd check the height of this once, and it looks just right! The seats have something strange moulded into them, which means some careful sanding, and some interior parts are finished with Humbrol blue, coated in Alclad satin. The window has two large streak marks across the front windscreen and rear glass, it looks terrible, but doesn't photograph, the worst think is the attachment to the sprue, it's not in a clever place, it will have to be sanded and polished...
  11. Some progress on this model. But it's always 3 steps forward, two steps back. It is really badly designed, there is no surface area to glue surfaces together, so I have applied as much glue as I dared, taped it together, and then after a couple of days, I applied loads more glue after removing the tape... Unfortunately this meant getting glue on the car, so I had to do a bit of sanding, polishing, and on the black trim, re-painting. Then it sat too high - like about 3mm too high. so I've hacked up the front suspension and fitted spacers in and cut the struts down... feels like it's lasting forever!
  12. Hi Michael, there was absolutely nothing wrong with the kit, it went together neatly, just the PE front grille was awful... I'm sure there's a knack to it, but I don't know what it is... you can check out my WIP...
  13. Nice job! great finish...
  14. Neat build, looks great!
  15. Well it looks great from the pics! It's such an expensive kit too, shame it didn't go together too well, you can't see the streak of glue on the window, so you've done well to clean it up... Do feel for you, it happens to me all too often...
  16. Thanks for all the comments! I will try and use some clean sheet plastic from a shirt that I purchased recently, unfortunately I didn't get any easter eggs this year! thanks for the suggestions!
  17. Well it looks lovely to me, and you can't see the setting solution marks on the CF (which also looks great). the wheels look fine, you don't need bigger ones...!
  18. well it's a nice clean build & has stood the test of time.
  19. Thanks all for the kind comments! Matt, yes they were kit weeks, I de-chromed them in bleach, them sprayed them steel, and finally gave them a wash with Indian ink. I left the wing nuts in chrome as supplied by the factory, the reference pics I have show a difference between the spokes and the nut...
  20. Top build, really like the finish! And I love this car...
  21. This is a nice subject, and it's coming along nicely!
  22. Very rare car nowadays, nice finish!
  23. Well done, neat build!
  24. Really nice finish on the Pink Paint!
  25. This was a really simple kit from Academy. It's not really detailed, but builds into a nice but basic model. No engine detail. It's not really finished, the lenses need to be added, but they are terrible, they look like goggles & distort the lights underneath, so I've going to do something with them later. For now, it's on display! There is a WIP post in the appropriate place if you're interested... Comments welcome.
