Thanks for all the comments! I will try and use some clean sheet plastic from a shirt that I purchased recently, unfortunately I didn't get any easter eggs this year! thanks for the suggestions!

Well it looks lovely to me, and you can't see the setting solution marks on the CF (which also looks great). the wheels look fine, you don't need bigger ones...!
-
well it's a nice clean build & has stood the test of time.

Thanks all for the kind comments! Matt, yes they were kit weeks, I de-chromed them in bleach, them sprayed them steel, and finally gave them a wash with Indian ink. I left the wing nuts in chrome as supplied by the factory, the reference pics I have show a difference between the spokes and the nut...

Really nice finish on the Pink Paint!

This was a really simple kit from Academy. It's not really detailed, but builds into a nice but basic model. No engine detail. It's not really finished, the lenses need to be added, but they are terrible, they look like goggles & distort the lights underneath, so I've going to do something with them later. For now, it's on display! There is a WIP post in the appropriate place if you're interested... Comments welcome.

Great build, I wouldn't have noticed the red but looked for it because of your post. Strange how it has come through the primer though. Beautiful car...

Great model this, went together soo well, only has issues with the gloss coat & the flocking. I do have a WIP post as well... Enjoy! Criticisms welcome.

That's a lot of effort to strip, but it came out really nicely...

Very imagining, and great paint finish! Love it...

Your attention to detail is impressive, and I love this subject car. Very interesting that it wasn't mentioned as a v dub in the film. I'd love to do this kit for my wife, as she loves bugs...
