    Go with ever AK extreme metal paint whitch is premix for airbrush and more durable than alclad Auto air also has chrome and gold that works good I have used alclad in the pass and it rubs off to easy

    I use windshield fluid and future for my mix with cheap craft paint

    some people use what ever color the body is going to be and try to match the background to the color around the decal if you know what I mean

    If you want to put thread on a slick you can use a screen from a window heat it up and roll the tire on it

    For the transmission blanket I would use bandage tape

    if you mix mineral spirits with the panel liner it will run down the door line alot better
