  1. I got a message this morning from W Humble saying that he'd fallen and broken his ankle, and asking for a small favor - but nothing else. Anyone know more? Scam?
  2. Does Round2 still have the molds for the ramps?
  3. Spotted last week in Laguna Hills, CA:
  4. Swapped in the chassis, front bumper/grille, interior and glass from the promo and gave it what Scott at Cold War Motors would call a "Level 1 Tidy". Luckily the interior isn't nearly as shrunken/warped as the promo body was: Those wheelcovers will need some trimming to fit into the tires properly.
  5. Ignore that AI image - I did a search on Newspapers.com and found a bunch of real photos. Here are the best ones: OK, you diorama builders - GO!
  6. Maybe next month.
  7. And maybe do the same thing with the 1/20 MPC AMX? Right off the bat it would have a detailed chassis with steerable front wheels, which is more than can be said for the Jo-Han kit.
  8. So, to do the Coronet as a base grocery getter, has anyone put a Lindberg slant six in one of the previous Moebius Mopars and how's the fit?
  9. Thank you. I was going to scrounge a set of old MPC steelies for my '65 Belvedere movie cop car; they're deep enough that the hubcaps won't stick out. AMT had been guilty of this too - their '50 Chevy pickup and '37 Chevy coupe especially.
  10. Barrister at the now closed Tupelo Auto Museum in 2006:
  11. Sure I would! Straight to the nearest demolition derby. Free maintenance, right? "OK, you guys - fix it!"
  12. 13-inch four-lugs for early AMT Ford Falcon/Comet/Ranchero and GM compacts: Chrome reverse and four-spoke mags.
  13. Another PMC '59 Ranchero, cheap-ish because... I'd like to transplant the good stuff from it to the red styrene one I got a while back:
  14. Good stuff, Chuck! I put the chassis under AMT '57 Chevy, '56 Ford and '65 Nova bodies - they're very adaptable.
  15. First time I've seen that box. The artist goofed when he left out the B-pillar; we didn't get a real Corvair hardtop until '65.
  16. Merry me on December 25th and we'll have a marry Christmas!
  17. Kind Hearts and Coronets (1949) starred Alec Guinness in eight different roles.
  18. reduce shareholder dividends
