  1. Is the rear end in the Jo-Han SC/Rambler a Dana?
  2. R.I.P. Florence. A rare one from 1970: "Mrs. Brady does Motown!"
  3. Just got a sealed AMT 1/43 '48 Ford coupe, mis-listed as a '40 so that must have thrown off any other bidders. For under a ten-spot, I figure if Round2 reissues it someday, that's about what it would go for anyhow. (Handy hint: You can make a quick '42 grille for this kit from the bottom of a '37 Chevy custom grille split lengthwise and a '55 Nomad chrome finned valve cover!)
  4. Wonderful job on these, Tulio! When I had my '71 Mk III it took a lot of junkyard hunting to find four good centers like that one. You could probably make a few bucks reproducing them. What brand of UV-protected epoxy resin did you use? I imagine a lot of folks here would like to use a clear epoxy that doesn't turn yellow for things like lenses on models.
  5. Just don't use that shot of the Edsel cluster as a color reference! Here you go:
  6. They're also a way to avoid injury and death from being hit by sloppy and distracted DRIVERS.
  7. Nice clean rebuild! Did you have much trouble disassembling it? With all those delicate parts in the front end, it must have been hard getting the wheels off without breaking anything. (And if you're not using that tonneau cover... )
  8. Fingers still crossed for you, Harry. Hope you can have some family with you over the holidays, and their presence helps you get better.
  9. VERY cool. Can you flip it and show the chassis? I have got to get back to work on my '61 Comet... I'm using the '67 Mustang chassis under one of my '61 Rancheros; already adapted the engine compartment and the chassis is next (trans tunnel is way too tall, and it needs to be lengthened/widened).
  10. Those are actually the factory-optional Rally wheels; just paint the centers to match the body and paint chrome on the trim rings, the centers and around the slots, and you're good to go!
  11. Yes, if the "partial new tool" were a 300 two-door wagon body (and while they're at it, put the chrome taillight bezels and stock lenses back in)... Back to the '68 El Camino: The improvement to the tool is welcome; now I'll finally add one to the stash.
  12. Let the wild speculation begin! (ain't I a stinker?) With a partially-new-tool '66 Nova wagon?
  13. Big improvement! Looks like the body was short-shot next to the driver's side taillight?
  14. Thanks Bill! Edit: Just checked the measurements against the wagon body and it looks like it will just fit; hope the curvature matches.
  15. Could someone measure the windshield glass from the Deora kit? I need the width at top and bottom and the height. I need to see if it will fit the Hubley '60 Ford wagon rear window opening. Thanks!
  16. Harry, how long do you let the black base coat dry before using the Spaz-Stix?
  17. Got a message back saying another two months to clear the May 15th orders, at least - that day's orders absolutely swamped them and mine came in seventeen seconds into May 16th - but at least I'll be in the first batch of them for that date (didn't order any chrome bits). I can wait...
  18. Dave or Steve - Is the rectangular Cyclone trim piece on the Comet's grille molded in, or a separate part? If it's separate that would make it a lot easier to build as a Caliente. Thanks for your hard work! (A Caliente convertible with uptop and boot might be nice, hint hint...)
  19. Now it looks more like a Bedford...?
  20. How about that - I've driven that car; my boss/friend bought it from a friend of ours who was selling it at the time the Bring A Trailer photos were posted. It has only 16,000 miles and it drives real nice, although it's no hot rod (I took it down from Yucca Valley to a show in Palm Springs and back; I was told in no uncertain terms not to take it over 55 - that wasn't a problem).
  21. Even an original can be dressed up a little bit:
