  1. Here's the '73 Illinois license plate to get you started:
  2. patients resemble Picassos
  3. New one looks wider? Gerry, could you lay the '62 hood on the '63 body and vice versa? Curious to see how close they match.
  4. Hi Kelly! Similar setup is in the Jo-Han AMC Marlin kit, complete with steerable wheels; a bit tougher to find but keeps it in the family. They do get parted out on eBay now and then.
  5. Don't I wish . This was in Palm Desert, CA a couple weeks ago; the '75 Buick LeSabre convertible sold for $6000 - body, top and interior were OK but the 350 engine was a rat-eaten mess. The '69 Cougar Eliminator was a one-of-101 former Hertz Sports Car Club rental; all of those had a 351/FMX combo and sunroof. A bit worn but only 23k miles; they were asking $40,000 and it sold for $35k.
  6. Yes you should. Now and then something good turns up...
  7. Here you go, Monty: https://www.ebay.com/itm/334348604487
  8. I used to frequent the Lincoln Heights store north of downtown L.A., which sometimes got movie/TV studio donations. Among the goodies I picked up back in the day: Several UCLA and one University of Washington basketball uniforms, left over from filming the movie The 6th Man VHS tapes with dailies and second unit footage from movies like Iron Will (months before it came out) and The Hand that Rocks the Cradle, plus a gag/outtake reel from the Fame TV show VHS dailies of a scene from The Island of Dr. Moreau, in which all of Marlon Brando's lines are being read to him by someone off camera; he just repeats them (unfortunately I think this was lost in a move) Something cool but also a mystery: a Rolodex full of old celebrity addresses and phone numbers dating to around maybe 1972 at the latest. Whose Rolodex it was I've never figured out, although there are a lot of New York City numbers - and two cards with numbers noted "King Peter's Doctor" and "King Peter's Lawyer". I'm guessing the owner may have been a columnist or press/booking agent?
  9. Just amazing. I have a few issues with some of the kit's shapes but not with Paul's workmanship - this is probably the best model of a Mark IV we'll ever see.
  10. This one's only been a mockup for, I don't know, over 40 years...
  11. If you think that was tough, try getting an AMT '61 Pontiac bumper/grille/hood to all fit properly - and for extra masochism, try separating the chrome from the top of the grille and attaching it to the hood where it belongs !
  12. "Radar Love" - Golden Earring "When the Lovelight Starts Shining Through His Eyes" - The Supremes "Whittier Boulevard" - Thee Midnighters "I Gotta Drive" - Jan & Dean
  13. Got her start in the business at American International in 1957, directed by a fellow who used to make Three Stooges shorts: (She's in the plaid skirt.)
  14. it's strictly taboooooooo
  15. Here you go:
  16. Made a nice little promo score today, first time in a long time: They're a bit dirty and worn, but I think they'll clean up pretty well. I'm thinking of selling off the front row and keeping the '65 Grand Prix, '62 Electra 225, and turquoise '65 GTO in the back - not a huge fan of the '66s anyway, and if I'm lucky I'll break even.
  17. Thank goodness he didn't do a '57 Buick Century hardtop - my wallet would have taken a hit and I would have had to dig up another '58 Buick interior for it...
  18. Oh wait - I did make a couple:
