  1. Looks like a fun project Kerry , if ya decide to ditch the dented parts , I'm sure to have replacements lol Either way you'll definitely have fun building in your style and I'm headed for snacks to watch it come together! Gotta skip popcorn nowadays argg
  2. Definitely a good kit to create different styles ! If your looking to go more modern, detail master sells a grill photo etch set that's super nice. Theres so many options , the choices are endless. I may have a spare set of round tanks if your interested in them
  3. Beautiful work KJ ! All the subtle details really pop, even looks like rubber rub strips on the fuel tank straps ! The stripes are super nice are they from Jerry
  4. Stunning detail work
  5. Very nice conversion ! The ice cream truck is sweet too I'm still in awe that's the trucks not Orange lol Good to see ya back
  6. These cab overs look like fun projects !
  7. I started fab on the last major part, the rear gate . I wasnt planning it to move keeping it much simpler, just hinges and details to look busy ! My squirrels get distracted enough w builds , making everything move , and they'd never get anything done ! square tube , 040 sheet and a few drops of glue got me here..then I spotted the small access door...my OCD went ballistic that over hang will be sanded flush and rounded over .. the door tracks are 90 degree angle and triangle strips for the ribs . Next to add the swing hinges and lift cylinder for that door . Back to work !
  8. Hey Tesla - tickets are free to watch ! I actually pulled the resin cab out last night digging for a few parts , I really had the bug to mess w it...but must finish the 361 first Thanks glad ya like it ! Nice simple flat panels then add plenty of detail eye candy to fill the voids... Let's show the tail gate in progress now..
  9. Love the look you have going , looking forward to updates
  10. Spotted these out cruising the other day I have a soft spot for an Oshkosh and this work horse definitely fits the bill. This truck was resting in the sun the same highway dept the Brockway 361 I'm putting together. A fellow car enthusiast has this KW for a daily driver .
  11. Excellent scheme
  12. Very nice, especially w the day cab
  13. They definitely keep me busy Thanks ! I knew I wanted a replica after eyeing this truck. Their Oshkosh has my attention too..wait and see. Brian - yeah really enjoying this project
  14. Lol thanks for following along Yeah their busy little suckers lately Good to hear your elves are back
  15. Rummaging through my stash of Evergreen, I found these decent size C channel that looked right. Cutting out the dump bed floor from .040 sheet and added the C channel ribs. Later the outside rail will get skinned w strip to box everything. The tilt frame was fabbed from square tube , the notch in frame will be where I place the tilt hinges While that dried , I cut down more 040 for the bed sides . The height was based off pics , shown around even w cab drip rail...serious eyeball engineering lol. Lastly the side ribs were attached and the short cab guard was fashioned. Photos showed it barely even with the rear cab panel. Guess it's protecting the wet tank !! thanks for watching the 361 come together !
  16. I call / text or email Gary gwtrucks@yahoo.com Thanks ! When I spotted the 361 I knew this project was gonna be next. Works out well because its nearby and photos are easy
  17. I stumbled onto my next project while doing a summer clean out at the in laws. While dropping a truck load of house clutter off at the town barn, my eye caught sight of the towns beloved Brockway 361. as you can see it's been lovingly cared for, and who doesn't love a Husky ! The chassis I'm using is from the IH paystar dump truck for simplicity. I gave Dave Natale a call for all the Husky parts I could source, and as always he was very helpful getting all the details identified. The other parts I needed are those huge 22.5 2 Hole budds sourced from moluminum, and the correct size tires from Gary at gwtrucks. Building a truck like this would be nearly impossible without all the help from the aftermarket and friends , so thank you ! A few days later, a packed box from Egg Harbor arrived..I couldn't resist a mock up. more to come !
  18. That's fantastic news, I really enjoyed putting mine together and the fit was excellent
