  1. Hmm Mack Granite in Army that's a fantastic deal. Parts availability would be substantial also I'd assume given the commonality to civilian trucks
  2. Ok spoiler went satin black on hood ! My buddy noticed the 1:1 has the 700 series headlight buckets vs my 300 style round ones and gonna hook me up ! thanks I'm very pleased how it turned out
  3. Hahaha yeah definitely a JT favorite Thanks ! I'm really pleased how it turned out Wont be long now getting everything in final assembly
  4. Very cool paint scheme, and very rugged looking
  5. We have matching paint this time !!!! Primed everything w tamiya fine white, then 2 coats of tamiya pure orange. I still plan to add the black hood after this sets up.. that's a job for the Iwata though. I even masked the trademark white brockway grill prior to painting to avoid issues w bleedthru.. the black hood should really make the cab standout , something I've always liked on these trucks. Thanks for following along, hopefully the popcorn isn't getting stale lol
  6. Looks good Tom ! Nice detailed interior , love those pistol grip shifter
  7. Shes beautiful ! I definitely enjoy every mile I put on our 71 cutlass convertible, fun driving something without all the electronic distractions
  8. We used to say while flying radio controlled helicopters, if ya have to ask ya cant afford it lol ! Theres not many wrecks this truck couldn't recover I imagine...if Jamie Davis can use the old iron he uses lol
  9. Heres what they looked like before swimming...really inspired me seeing everything together though. Definitely has the work truck appearance I wanted
  10. Thanks ! I had a paint mishap, totally my fault, causing the parts a swim in the pond....getting in a hurry sucks. I had cab primed w light gray duplicolor and box was raw plastic...color wasnt even between them. The cabs cleaned up and ready for BOTH to get primer ...thanks for being patient.
  11. Looks like an awesome proj underway !
  12. X2 what Driptroit 71 suggested, Dave will definitely have what your looking for.
  13. Good choice on the wheels , always like the steel / cap look over flashy on these street burners
  14. Good looking mods !
  15. Thanks ! I used tips from red neck rigger to better detail mine Thanks , hopefully it will still be visible after paint Thanks Warren - are you doing a WIP on your 361 love to see it. I have another adopted Husky that's stalled , this winter I'm definitely finishing it up.
  16. Awesome work! Really like the damaged tailgate and wrinkled pan definitely tells a story of this trucks life
  17. Looks like a great bunch of projects ahead ! Theres an Emeryville rusting away nearby planned taking photos of it . Might be a good way to remember that truck
  18. Thanks Kerry ! One of those builds I'm having fun working on keeps me very motivated Thanks ! I figured adding those small welds would make an otherwise boring muffler stand out . Hopefully the operators notice them lol Thanks Jacobus Thanks Ken ! Almost ready for paint if this work thing didnt cut into my day ....
  19. The 361 is mainly gonna be curbside since the hood is cast w the cab. Not wanting another multi yr project, I'm just dropping a basic Nhc 250 Cummins and running the exterior pipes . One detail this 361 had was what I'm calling a resonator above muffler w visable welds...well I had to model that !! A leftover strip of CTM welds from my pneumatic trailer to the rescue. Heres the actual truck, you can see the " can "above the muffler. thanks for watching Jeff
