  1. Well without further ado, I've been puttering w the 361 and finally have a roller !!! Using 22 inch 2 hole budds all around from moluminum, and awesome drive tires from GW trucks . The front steers came from the KW snappy kit.. The dump box received a bunch of eye candy , attaching a section of small diameter rod to the bed side , basswood top boards, and thin sheet stock for the " rear trough ". The tabs are for the door cylinder.
  2. Wow nice frame color !!!!
  3. Sam - I think what your seeing for the 3rd axle is actually a lift axle he sourced from gw trucks.
  4. Doug Wagner just started 3d printing the tank for the Convoy trailer so that'll soon be available. It's only the tank , so scratch building the chassis would be needed.
  5. Nice save ! Easily my favorite car of all time, edging out the 80s icon Countach. Color is sharp too
  6. Looking good Tom ! Isn't hacking up perfectly good kits fun !
  7. Thanks everyone I appreciate the comments !
  8. Very cool build , definitely unique w a truck body aka Phantom. Definitely like the Hudson
  9. Wow thanks for posting those tools ! I can see many uses for them where an exacto wouldn't hold up
  10. Really nice job just enough dirt on everything ! I had similar problems w everything fitting together , not something I wanted to address after paint ! Weird because it didnt show up during several mock ups .
  11. Definitely a fantastic looking work truck
  12. Looking good ! Yeah they definitely need Coyote's make sure to void the warranty on those tires !
  13. I like the direction your headed ! I wouldn't have thought about notching the frame , and really like how your making it in the weeds
  14. All those mods really change the overall appearance in a very good way !
  15. This topic reminds me of one circulated on the armor forums awhile back about builders experiencing issues w certain manufacturers plastic. One that jumps out was the green molded Trumpeter kits, very hard and difficult to get glue to adhere. Soon after Panda plastic was very rubbery, almost flexible to a degree. I havent built many older kits, but the few havent really melted using Testors thin or Tamiya extra thin the way gel glue used too..
  16. Lmbo yeah I've been slacking think my squirrels are getting lazy before labor day
  17. Small update , pint size actually ! The reference truck had an unusual air cleaner mounted and I really wanted to capture that detail . Hoping for a donor part yielded nothing and it was suggested to build one..that's my favorite thing to do! Heres the style the 361 has.. Digging thru parts turned up a few parts oddly enough from a Mack..shhh dont tell ! The main body off the R model, another half off another terrible glue bomb I trashed and my friend Evergreen ! I cut the can right inside of the strap , and flipped it around the other side . That left a gap, which was covered w 015 strip. The top section was off the bomb , a small tube riser attaches it . After I added a small pipe to each end that rubber elbows will attach. Later a section of modified rectangular tube will attach the air cleaner to the cab.
  18. Gary wallace at gw trucks has a steerable and non steerable tag axle available KFS also sells them
  19. Wow nice color on the chassis
  20. Thanks everyone ! I really struggled with the color choice , between the red and a dark blue. After a spoon test the blue looked splotchy, certainly it was my application. That 5.0 dropped right in, needing just a small adjustment to the driveshaft length . Figure they blew up the 427 during the test drive like the 442 during the Overhauling show...
