  1. Very cool twin steer IH definitely appears to be an oil field truck. Certainly make a great and interesting model given the ease of locating the paystar kit

It's very rough at the moment but once I add the top panels it'll his my shoddy work....back to watching frozen w my daughter Always get at least one fracture in the diamond plate..this time was no different. Oh well a little gap filling sup er glue should hide

  10. Lol sorry gotta stop by work for 8 hrs and hang out ..keeps the bank account happy ! I did fab up a set of cleats last night for the outrigger posts..guess they turned out decent
  11. Ok..update time !! What your all thinking it's not 2 weeks later already..lol Starting the 22k drag winch mounted on the bed floor, I dug thru my top secret stash of armor parts and found a few items perfect for my cornfield engineering! A couple road wheels off a British AS-90 gave up its geared hubs, and I turned them into the drive hubs for my winch ! Here's the pile of plastic before and during construction. Maybe the pics will inspire others to find parts in weird places .the other parts are the custom wheel backers from the 72 cutty convertible. That's one side the other side I'll keep secret till tomorrow. .cause it's not finished yet lol
  12. Thanks Kerry !! Old desk was soooo cramped I couldn't ever find anything, now I still can't find anything but it's cleaner lol
  13. Awesome detail work It's gonna be great fun watching , plus it has a green leaker my favorite! !
  14. Love all the work you added it'll make you much happier after its complete knowing the hrs spent was worth it! Especially after all the great feedback your gonna get from us lol
  15. Thanks everyone I appreciate the comments! !! It's a great motivator. I took a few days break to set up a new work area, the old desk wasn't cutting it. Scored a workbench from work yrs ago, and always liked the size , so I drug it literally it's stupid heavy..2 inch thick top , and reset my bench. One thing I've always wanted was a place for the evergreen packs , so I hung a board with screws to hang them...cheap and priceless storage lol I took a while to alter / delete the outdated under lift from the pete hooker , and started scratching a newer one. I chopped 1/4ich off the top where there will be a cable way for the 22k drum winch mounted in the bed. A few plates of 015 for details and bobs my uncle Thanks for looking Be back soon
  16. yeah love the COE cab overs awesome work !
  17. sorry..its been awhile !! The weather around here has been crazy and kept finding excuses to avoid the bench ...anyway I finally got around to starting the rear outrigger towers. A few angled plates of .040 thou and Meng bolts on the mounting plate finished it up ! I'll add the upper clevis' later along The bottom boxes will end up housing the actual stablizers, which hold the truck level during recovery ops last up the side panel mounts ! gotta love those craft stick photo bombs argg I'll try to keep the updates more frequent now lol stay tuned
  18. Thanks ! Sorry so few updates, daughter started getting her back teeth and haven't had much constructive bench time . I'm becoming the local expert on mickey clubhouse and Disney Frozen..lol tonites update was testing the wheels. I used a steerable drop axle from gw trucks and love how it actually works !! I haven't decided if wheels down or up will be final version . Thanks for being patient Jeff
  19. I had the privilege of seeing this combo in person today at the Fulton show, and it's awesome! ! The pics don't even give it any justice , the small details and weathering really turn it into a work of art Congrats KJ on your build and new well deserved hardware
  20. Love it The holmes is one of my favorite wreckers
  21. Thanks everyone I appreciate the comments! ! How about a friday update shall we ! Mr Neil Yates ordered up some new doors for his wrecker..and in proper fashion I figured why not grind up a perfectly good cab lol. They called them day lite windows. ..here's my interpretation now for the day lite conversion !! I'll straighten the door seals later along , but I'm really liking the look
