  1. Thanks everyone Glad I could jog the ol memory for ya kerry ! I can wander into the hobby store buy a bagful then driving home remember I never bought what I originally went after ..thankfully the online shops help
  2. Looks great Tom ! Bet your glad to have it finished up since 14 Now where ya gonna find room in the case for that ...hmmm
  3. Stunning work ! Looks great from here
  4. How about a small peek at progress I needed to fab a 3rd boom section since the challenge kit only had 2 , glued couple sections of gw frame rails together and bobs my uncle ( he actually is..lives down south lol ) The cable guides and boom end from the kit was attached to 3rd section , altering as needed . Afew small details were added to the drum winch , punched discs for eventual hydraulic hoses , and even the small data plate on the frame from scrap. Still needs the bolts to liven things up, probably just dots of thick CA That's about it for now any criticism welcome
  5. Thanks Dr kerry ! I steal a few minutes to bash while daughter takes her nap, then back to getting chased around house ! Now she's running daddy runs out of diesel early . Thanks Warren !
  6. I'd love to build one right oob but the sky high prices keep me away, it'd be nice to have it back in circulation Course there are ways of building this mixer thru the aftermarket. ..jerry has the decals, aitm has the challenge mixer and the truck could be sourced fairly easily. ..but the box art is so riveting
  7. Looks great you definitely turned that truck into a show piece !! Wow the headache rack fit really well holding up the dolly . Now I gotta start one of the trade kits as well Again excellent work
  8. Looks good jim knew ya needed a quick build after the IVECO Pardon my ignorance but what's USFS
  9. Ditto !! A weather worn autocar love it
  10. It's gonna have a green leaker..ya know I'll be lurking ! Looks like a great project , especially how good the inspiration photo appears
  11. Thanks ! Me too !!much more interesting than reruns of reality shows least cartoons have a believable plot
  12. Thanks I appreciate the comments Finally cleaned up all the wrapping paper , and stored the lights and tree for next yr. I stole a few minutes during a nap to putter . Started getting the modified boom together, realized I'd need a 3rd section to model this truck. Luck would have it, a left over frame rail fit . I shortened sections 1 and 2 and altered the ends.. Pics showed a reinforcing plate along the boom, so I sketched a pattern I'll transfer later Naps almost over so gotta get ready for more cartoons..thanks for looking
  13. Very tempted to enter with a semi tractor and a monster in line CAT ... Just gotta come up with the proper tractor...
  14. Looks fantastic I'll save a bag of popcorn for the load Happy new year
  15. Man that headache rack looks sweet on that work horse !! Definitely glad I could contribute Just loving how everything looks together I certainly should add a log hauler to the must have list , but can't find time to work on much lately ..gotta love insulation work .
  16. Wow..awesome work Very interesting how great the elastic looks for the hose lines, it's very authentic.
  17. Looking good don't stop now !!! Cool touch adding the square hydraulic tank Again the color choice looks fantastic. .
  18. Stunning like everyone else has commented I've never appreciated the cruiseliner tillnow
  19. Looking very good love the mahogany wood decking
  20. Thanks Merry Christmas everyone
  21. Love how ya mismatch the tires ! It's gonna be another great kw for your fleet
  22. Thanks alot !!!! I've nearly wrapped up the wrecker body. I fashioned up an angled oil tank behind boom carriage nothing fancy ...not really enough room to detail out. Last up was the rear storage covers. I wanted plain covers instead of tread plate like on the front. Couple patterns from card stock and I had a set All that's left is a final sanding to clean up boo boos then primer thanks for following Any criticism welcome
  23. First gear really makes some fantastic trucks in 1 -24 . Wish the kit companies would follow suit The armor guys get spoiled since most the injection molding companies "copy" equipment from somewhere else and sell as their own...then everyone else rushes to market the same one making a flood of new kits of obscure vehicles. Just this past year seemed everyone was producing Abrams kits w full interiors and engines. Places like Meng, Tacom or even trumpeter could really wow us with kits if they would invest the tooling
  24. Kj doesn't list the outrigger but can supply you with them, I just picked some up at recent show The trailer is coming out fantastic
