  1. Small update for the wknd , added the resin cab fenders and lower filler panels. The fender interfered w the rear wheel steering rod, so a quick sanding removed the offending area. I tacked on the diamond plate fenders, and fabbed up the rear cab mount . The 1/25 car brake hub spacer ended being too tall, settling for a craft stick above tire. I'll post close ups later to show the steering details and mods to make everything fit. Next up the drivers steps Any feedback or comments welcome
  2. Cant wait! I have a rebuilder stashed for a worn dozer. Are you adding the ripper to the back or winch? I'll have to check out the replacement tracks too
  3. Glad to have ya along Doc ! I picked up the tires from gw trucks , Gary doesn't have a website but you can reach him thru his email. gwtrucks@yahoo.com The rear 2 hole budd wheels are from scenes unlimited. Thanks for following
  4. very nice Mack ! I heard these kits were very challenging to build, looks like you nailed it The paint scheme and small pinstripes really shows well on the cab
  5. excellent work Jim ! The paystar looks perfect shortened up and built as a haul tractor. The way you filled out the headache rack really sells it too, those small spot lights, beacons, and chain hangers add those details. Very well done
  6. Hehe he yeah those squirrels get carried away. Like idea of a front winch, works well on the heavy haul theme
  7. Looking forward to your Cortland Cadillac
  8. Nice job ! The Cat D8 will look perfect chained down on the deck w the Husky pulling
  9. @Petriedish- thanks for posting the tri drive, that's an impressive work truck for sure!!! Feel free to post a few more photos of the trucks if your allowed to , we would all love to see them. Hopefully the Cat is still around
  10. Nice little pup engine ! Good plan doing more outriggers, they take few minutes work but worth the effort
  11. Fantastic results, love the colors
  12. Scott - thanks ! Ours has the 2.3 turbo engine. It's very smooth and a really comfortable ride, albeit the interior space is much tighter than the condo I was driving. We've been seeing around 23- 25 mpg so far w mixed driving
  13. Shortened up the walking beam after photos posted earlier , really like the look better. Removed 6mm(1/4" ) out of each. The wheels are loosely attached here While working on suspension parts. I installed the metal hubs and steering links. After a few minutes researching twin steer steering designs, I settled on a bell crank pull- pull set up for simplicity and I had enough of the angled arms to run that type. Now the brain cells can get a work out lol. Heres the drivers side. The steering rod hasn't been installed yet Any feedback or ideas I appreciate them, this is new territory for me
  14. Looks good w pledge gloss coat Looking forward to your progress
  15. Looks fantastic so far A mechanical tech I work w uses Fusion 360 for his hobby making atv parts. He loves the software
  16. Sorry its been a few days since the last update. I decided to experiment with a different vehicle, so the hunt was on. My loved Ram 1500 was burning thru the strategic oil reserves faster than I liked..so it was traded. I honestly can say that was the toughest truck to sell off I've ever owned, and our new family member has some enormous shoes to fill. I happen to find an available vehicle, and we ran to dealer to try it out. Everyone liked it, so I left the Bighorn keys w them and brought the 2022 Explorer XLT home. Hopefully they don't get upset about the box of squirrels I left under the tonnue cover lol .
  17. Great work The few times I've built these type trailers, the foot that pushes against truck frame caused me a few sleepless nights.
  18. Yes those are the SDS drives . I use them on almost all my builds
