  1. For a while I was worried that they were just going to bring back the novelty kits, but there is some good stuff in that list. The Mack announcement has got me wondering who ended up with the Monogram classics moulds?
  2. Mooneyes dragster made from classic Custom Car Parts? Sounds like we know where those Parts Pack moulds went.
  3. Devo does Nine Inch Nails: A Smiths cover that I think improves on the original
  4. Another one where the remake is probably better known than the original, William Shatner's take on Pulp's "Common People"
  5. Piece of cake.
  6. On the other hand, now would seem to be a great opportunity for people who want to get into collecting cars from that era, but maybe aren't millionaires.
  7. Here's one that looks like you might be able to do with the body from the Heller Bentley.
  8. Cibie equipped hot rod from 1973
  9. And a few American customizers did use those European style headlights in the years before they were technically legal in the States.
  10. Zagato's style at this time was distinctive, and definitely not in a good way.
  11. I noticed that too about the floor as well. The other floor seems to work just fine.
  12. 1974 was the first year for rectangular sealed beams.
  13. All that weight popped the whitewalls right off.
  14. Reference page on the Vendo 39, which seems to be the Coke machine the one in the AMT is based on. http://grandamericajukebox.com/vintage-soda-machines/vendo-coke-machine-history-and-serial-numbers/#V-39 It seems to be an amalgam of the early model with the a trim strip from the later two tone model, so on top of everything else, we can gripe about how they got the Coke machine wrong.
  15. It looks like it would be useful for making things like hoods and track style noses. Bodies are doable, if you don't mind multiple pieces, Styrene vacforms just fine, so there's nothing stopping you from getting a big sheet of that and cutting up your own squares, if you don't want to pay Michael's prices for materials.
  16. Not everyone has gone through every single quiz, so keep it going.
  17. They look good if you're going for a high tech look.
  18. Maybe, but it never hurts to let them know what you want.
  19. I really like this. It's like a 1936 Ford and the Dubonnet Xenia had a beautiful baby.
  20. If everything fits, multi piece isn't a big deal.I forgot to mention that Italeri does some 1930s subjects as well, and they use multi piece bodies. They do a 1933 Cadillac V-16 with that wild Art Deco styling, but the engine detail isn't the greatest.
  21. Lots of good stuff already mentioned. The Monogram classic kits do omit some fine detail, but all the shapes are right, and they still build up into nice models. THe MPC 32 Imperial looks good, though it it is pretty fiddly. If you want some European subjects, Heller has some very nice subjects, though in their quest for scale appearrance can mean some very delicate parts. For more recent offerings there are Tamiya's Toyoda Model AA and ICM's Opel Admiral, though I haven't built either of those, so I can't say what they're like to build.
  22. Forever is a long time, but I think Revell's Model A kits would keep me going for a long time. Same with Jo-han's Cadillac V-16. There are so many variations you could make even if you stuck with the factory versions.
  23. It still looks sharp! It's kind of sobering that the high tech "Modern" look is over 30 years old now. The new traditional?
  24. I know Bandai rereleased the Rolls Balloon car a few years back. I remember seeing one in the discount bin after I'd spent too much on an Entex version on eBay. I'm definitely looking forward to your progress on this one.
  25. That was me this past Labour Day weekend. I figured I'd get a bunch of painting done before the weather got too cold. I remembered a Jo-han Cadillac Cabriolet that had been almost finished for far too long, so I figured I'd finish the painting on that. It's not a small box, but do you think I could find it? On the up side, in the process of searching, I found some missing parts that had been holding me up on a couple of other projects.
