I printed another Andrey Bezrodny 1973 Olds Cutlass Supreme. This time painted in Scalefinishes' Olds Wedgewood Blue and Zombie Blue interior. I added emblems to the front fenders, B pillar, trunk, dash, and door panels using 3d Builder. The side mirrors are printed from the ditomaso147 file and the tires are from Modelhaus Tires. Thanks for looking and let me know what you think. Also, check out the reel on my IG page.

Stripping
Perspect Scale Modelworks replied to Perspect Scale Modelworks's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I'm currently using water wash resin. So you're saying the alcohol will strip paint from the printed parts? What type of paint are you using? -
I haven't been faced with this yet but was wondering, if I screw up a paint job on a 3d printed body, how would I strip it? Do the usual products, purple pond, oven cleaner, brake fluid, Detol, etc., have an effect on the resin? Or is it easier to just print another body? Has anyone stripped a 3d printed body?

Bending Resin Parts

I've had success using a heat gun to straighten 3d printed parts. A hair dryer may work as well. -

1970 Cadillac DeVille Convertible

Thanks David. The leading edge of the tailfin starts too far back. It should start just behind the door. This either adds space bet2een the door and rear wheel or just makes the body look to long. The hood and grill are too flat. He got the angle of the front bumper right but flattend the grill and hood. -

I say go for it. The proportions look OK. The 1/4 panels and trunk slope may be a bit off. There are no emblems on the body either. The interior looks correct. This is 2nd Bezrodny file I've printed. The first was the 73 Cutlass which is pretty well proportioned. I just printed his 83 Fleetwood and so far it looks good. Had to add emblems on that one too. Thanks again -

Thanks Jeff. The hump is there, it's just so flat it's hard to see. One of the flaws with this file. -
This is printed from the Andrey Bezrodny file. It started as a commissioned stock build, but after I realized the proportion issues the buyer pulled out. I decided to continue the build as a mild custom with lowered suspension, 24" wheels, and painted Tamiya Metallic Black. I used styrene strips for the up-top seams and hinge, and shortened the window opening. I added the emblems and scripts to the body using 3D Builder. I also added the Cadillac emblem to the wheels which were printed from the Pixel3D file. Using 3D Builder I changed the seats and door panels to look more like the 1970 interior and painted Cadillac interior gold by MCW. The sun visors were printed from the 3DVM file. Bumpers and grill are sprayed with Revell Chrome. Scratch-built exhaust tip. I could have spent more time sanding but I just wanted to get it done. Thanks for looking and let me know what you think.
