  2. love it! my hood/grill looks the same.
  3. how we coming along on this Richard?
  4. I gotta think there is a good market for re-issues of this stuff, I, like many of you, built this stuff in my youth. and now 'we' have the disposable income to buy all this stuff from our youth......and usually buy more than one at a time. I find it funny that I see so many 'old' kits posted on this site that take me back to my youth, many of them I forgot about, but when I see them, it's a pure time warp. mold them, and we will buy.............
  5. wow, love the headers! I have two of these kits, and if you need, would part with a shaker hood to help you out. let me know if you'd like the hood.
  6. Rob, looks terrific, great job!
  7. thanks for the kind words, glad you all like it
  8. JT, well hurry up man! I know you build at the speed of light, so lets get this done so I can see the complete package
  9. Travis, all the decals on this build are on the stock decal sheet. also, the rack, when you put it together, it doesn't create a perfect 90 degree angle, it kind of 'tilts' and looks wrong....until you put it on the frame, then it looks right. JT, thanks, the tanks were a beotch, the halves fit horrible, and I don't have any alclad yet, so I puttied/smoothed/filed and painted body color. I tried to BMF one of them, but couldn't make it nice, so went with paint and BMF'd the straps.
  10. incredible build, so life like, hard to tell it's not a 1:1
  11. Thanks guys Justin, those are decals. no way I could ever paint those on, lol. I plan on bringing it to the april show, along with my mack logger and whatever else I can get done by then
  12. At long last, she is done........
  13. wow, that is spectacular...............!!!!!!! you really captured the essence on this, well done!
  14. amazing work as usual, outstanding job so far! beautiful........
  15. this is going to be a home run for sure, looking great so far.
  16. looking good JT! what're ya gonna be putting behind this one?
  17. closer.....not much left to do now.
  18. welcome Travis. my advice to you as a recently back to building guy myself, of the kit's you have pictured there, start with the KW snap kit. it's got good details to get you started, and mate it with the flat bed trailer. trailer is a decent kit as far as parts fit, has some detail, and isn't overly complicated. two good kits to get your 'feet wet' as it were. I built those two exact kits to 'get back in the game' and glad I did, enough detail to keep you interested, but not too hard to make you want to give up. welcome back to the addiction
  19. haha, welcome to the dark side i have both of those kit's waiting their turn. can't wait to see this done, should make for a nice combo.
  20. Jim, that's body color and clear.
  21. JT, what happened to the mysterious blue paint I read about sometime ago? saving that for the Volvo fleet?
