  1. I've learned that each one is different. I built a vintage Cobra with Pegasus wheels and had to grind the hub down on the wheels as well as cut the axle back and they just fit inside the wheel wells. I also just build a Nissan where the wheels fitted like they were made for it. I'd say when the time comes you will need to post pics showing what you are trying to do and ask for specific help. Use the search and tutorials as well. G'luck!!
  2. Welcome Tony, you'll learn a lot here.
  3. I like the orange as well. Well detailed engine bay, too.

    Very nice.
  5. Very nice Tyrone. Get the Chassisworks catalog in pdf if you're looking into the front-mounted twin turbo. They've got some nice up-close photos of gear-drive systems.
  6. Nice build!! The wheels look like part of the two piece set that had a spoked second piece that bolted to the center hub. I had a set back in the day.
  7. I use primer with all body painting but not for small pieces.
  8. VGC Resins has it for Chevy.
  9. I'm liking it!!
  10. Impressive!
  11. Glad to see you got it separated without damage. Should be a fun rebuild.
  12. Wow, thanks guys. I wasn't familiar with how it all worked together. Ace Garageguy, thanks for the lesson on how it all works. The pump is part of the kit so I'm just plumbing it in. I've seen a couple of these where guys just ignored the pump like it didn't exist and I didn't want to do that.
  13. Nice work.
  14. Truly impressive.
  15. Very nice. Color is crazy!
  16. Really nice work. I really like the color combo on the interior.
  17. Hey All, I'm working on a Ross Gibson engine and I'm trying to figure out the oil system plumbing. I've studied a lot of photos and diagrams and I think I have it. Please check out the diagram and give me your input, thanks.
  18. Very impressive. Great start.
  19. I agree, that is one fine color, and nice job laying it down.
  20. I've decided to join the fun. Doing a 1956 Ford F100 Post Apoc Raider vehicle. Didn't have a plan when I started but its coming together. I've since made the wheels look worn. Trying to finish up now but I have to make the steering wheel fit now that it has a 427 SOHC engine in it there isn't room for the steering shaft. Oh well, part of the fun. worn
  21. Truly radical. Thanks for sharing your work.
  22. I was researching the same thing and found this. It's pretty technical but it gives you an idea of the size/type of blower you need. I guess I need to get on the stick and build mine as well with cooler weather approaching. Good luck.Rob, and thanks for your service.
  23. Great advice these guys seem very experienced with resin, but I think its a bit more complicated. When I came back into the hobby last year I built a couple of cars and then had to have the XLR. I still have it and am taking my time with it, but there is more fabricating req'd than a newbie should take on. Brian, I agree that you should follow the advice to put a couple of pro stock kits together, but also maybe a couple of customs in styrene. The knowledge I gained from building those has given me the confidence to go back to work on my XLR Outlaw. Just advice from a fellow newbie.
