  1. I agree. Why do what everyone else does?
  2. Nice project, and great fabrication!
  3. That's the way to do it! Awesome work.
  4. Sweet build! Nice paint and detail.
  5. Just remember that voters may ding you for straying too far from the movie/TV vehicle look. If we go the movie/tv theme I plan to have mine look pretty close to the movie car but trick out the engine, interior, and drivetrain.
  6. Not everybody switched to 3D engines. I see a lot of posts where guys won't touch them.
  7. Nice build!
  8. Ooooooo! ?
  9. Anthony will post the official rules, and the they may change slightly but here are the pertinent rules from last year's run. You can learn a lot by looking at past run threads. The rules: - The build can be either a new or started kit up to 25% complete. A rebuilder or parts box special is okay too. 1/24 or 1/25. If you absolutely must do a 1/20 model we’ll likely bend the rules as we have before, but that’s the limit. - If you have a previously started racer from a previous running of the Cannonball (SA or MCM) 50% complete or less, they are eligible to run this year as long as they meet the theme requirement. All of our previous runs are still available on either of the two forums. If you are going to do this, please be certain it was involved in a previous run. - Before starting please post a photo of your kit(s) or pile o’ parts. No limitation on technology used. - The car must appear to be street legal. Headlights, tail lights, license plate etc.
  10. ? Stop it, you're killing me! ?
  11. There were station wagons in movies. Maybe you could find one that works for you in the database that Stitchdup posted. https://www.imcdb.org/
  12. Well done build! The interior has a nice appearance of texture to it.
  13. I like the intent, but when I go through the list of cars from those shows that have decent pics, it seems very limiting for available kits. The kits from the Euro movie would mostly be Fujimi and maybe Tamiya.
  14. Very well done! Classy build.
  15. One thing to remember is that only the outside has to look like the movie car. You can have different engines, interiors, etc. Also, there is always the option of dropping out, and/or changing your build kit anyway. At least that's how its been in the past.
  16. Forgive my ignorance, but what's a Factory Phantom?
  17. I'll back you if you need it.
  18. Classy build!
  19. Good idea Stitch, but we can't do the race cars because the Cannonball Run race is for street cars. I think the "Movie Cars" allows for a wider choice of kits available. I can already see Jed and Granny trying to go coast to coast. ?
  20. Than Thanks for doing this for so long Rob. It's been a good run (no pun intended).
  21. My first time seeing this thread! Some awesome Chargers posted!
  22. Nicely done!
