  1. Great choice Brian!!
  2. Very nicely done! I love the paint treatment!
  3. Absolutely awesome engineering there!
  4. Awesome concept!
  5. Flash isn't a big deal on the body of mine, but every other part seems infected with it. No prob though because I'm only really using the body, chassis pan, and interior tub.
  6. Hey Gang! I'm going with the 72 GTO as seen in the movie "Meeting Evil". I bought the kit at Ollies for a song earlier this year for the engine and didn't really have any plans to build it so this is perfect.
  7. I got my turbos plumbed and just wanted to mock the whole thing up to see how things are shaping up. I fabricated enough parts to make the diesel look decent. I wanted to run the injector plumbing but they are supposed to run between the head covers but there's no space for that. I fabricated the rear rims, and cobbled the front ones together from the custom wheels from my 56 Belair kit with some Ford hubcaps (thanks Stitchdup). The gas tank is fabricated from lip balm tubes.
  8. Very nice! I recently started trying to draw basic stuff. It takes more than a bit of talent, which I may not possess!

    Well done!
  10. Nice!
  11. I agree. Why do what everyone else does?
  12. Nice project, and great fabrication!
  13. That's the way to do it! Awesome work.
  14. Sweet build! Nice paint and detail.
  15. Just remember that voters may ding you for straying too far from the movie/TV vehicle look. If we go the movie/tv theme I plan to have mine look pretty close to the movie car but trick out the engine, interior, and drivetrain.
  16. Not everybody switched to 3D engines. I see a lot of posts where guys won't touch them.
  17. Nice build!
  18. Ooooooo! ?
  19. Anthony will post the official rules, and the they may change slightly but here are the pertinent rules from last year's run. You can learn a lot by looking at past run threads. The rules: - The build can be either a new or started kit up to 25% complete. A rebuilder or parts box special is okay too. 1/24 or 1/25. If you absolutely must do a 1/20 model we’ll likely bend the rules as we have before, but that’s the limit. - If you have a previously started racer from a previous running of the Cannonball (SA or MCM) 50% complete or less, they are eligible to run this year as long as they meet the theme requirement. All of our previous runs are still available on either of the two forums. If you are going to do this, please be certain it was involved in a previous run. - Before starting please post a photo of your kit(s) or pile o’ parts. No limitation on technology used. - The car must appear to be street legal. Headlights, tail lights, license plate etc.
  20. ? Stop it, you're killing me! ?
  21. There were station wagons in movies. Maybe you could find one that works for you in the database that Stitchdup posted. https://www.imcdb.org/
  22. Well done build! The interior has a nice appearance of texture to it.
  23. I like the intent, but when I go through the list of cars from those shows that have decent pics, it seems very limiting for available kits. The kits from the Euro movie would mostly be Fujimi and maybe Tamiya.
