  1. Scott, take a look at the first post.
  2. Thanks guys, I never had this problem till I read this thread. Today it started.
  3. Definitely interested. That looks like something the factory should have built.
  4. I like everything about it with one exception. Color is great and goes well with the interior. Engine looks good. The only thing that bothers me, and it could be just me, the radiator shell seems to be too high. It doesn't seem to flow into line with the body. Don
  5. And they wonder why they are losing money.
  6. I had one as well. I put 160,000 miles and 2 engines on it before a got rid of it. 2.8 litre V6 and 4 speed. It handled really well and could sure surprise a lot hot cars of the time. I don't know how fast it would go since it had one of those 85mph speedometers but you could easily bounce the needle of the post. I don't know if you are going for stock, but if so, the engines were red including the intake and valve covers. Neat finned aluminum valve covers.
  7. That's very well done and creative. I love 41 Fords and th are rarely done.
  8. I think the first was a '61 Ford and the second a '60 Plymouth.
  9. Really like that blue. Can you tell me what it is?
  10. I'm with you on this one. First car model I ever built was the AMT 32 roadster. Would love to have both the roadster and coupe back again.
  11. Quick internet search results: Chrysler 300B - 353 ci, 218.8 in. overall length and 126 in. wheel base Desoto Adventurer - 341 ci, 220.9 in. overall length and 126 in. wheel base Not a lot of difference.
  12. Thanks Brett. I pre-date the Pro Stock stuff so I didn't recognize the mountain motor term.
  13. Excuse my ignorance, but what is a 1000 cc mountain motor?
  14. Gerald, I just did the same thing snake did and it works for me. Doesn't appear to be a forum problem.
  15. Actually arrived in yesterdays mail. A Revell 1948 Ford, Testors Honduras Maroon and a set of AMT Firestone Deluxe Champion tires. I ordered them from Mega Hobby on 4/6 and they arrived 4/11. I think that is pretty good service.
  16. Now that's what I'm talking about. It's like you read my mind. Did you do a build thread on that one?
  17. That's very well done and the black paint is perfect. Just about like a 1:1 I would like to have, just in maroon. Looking at this inspired me to order the 48 coupe and some honduras maroon paint.
  18. Rest in peace Harry. I have your book and had hoped you would be able to sign it when you recovered. I know you're in a better place now.
  19. You shouldn't be using those while driving anyway. Too many people doing that now.
  20. This is an interesting topic. I bought my first car in 1965 and have owned 26 till now. 12 of those 26 were manuals. I enjoy the feeling of being connected to the car, listening to the rpm's and trying to match them for smooth downshifts. Luckily I don't get in heavy traffic much anymore but would probably still own a manual. My current daily driver is a C5 Corvette and I absolutely love driving it. By the way, I'm 72 and again, lucky I don't have the physical problems some of you are suffering from.
  21. Looking a little further, it appears to be an Australian trailer bus. There's a bit of information about them on the internet. Even a site called busaustralia with a forum thread about them.
  22. I'm n Not sure, but it looks like right hand drive. Is that a steering wheel on the right side?
  23. Talk about memories. In the early 60's to early 70's I used to spend just about every weekend at E.S.T.A. (Empire State Timing Association). I know I saw that car run there. Thanks.
  24. Just sent something. Not much, but I hope it helps.
