  1. I love these old classics. I've got a couple un-built I need to start working on.
  2. This is looking really good. I have a soft spot for 67 Chevelles since that was my first new car.
  3. Looks really good. I like the paint color choice.
  4. I just looked at the George Klass Remembers site and it's great. Hundreds of pictures on there and he includes a summary description of the classes. Thanks for mentioning it.
  5. They look very good. But a Ford in a Chevy is a switch.
  6. I used to build 1/72 aircraft a long time ago. Your Zero looks real good. Are the panel lines raised or incised? I don't remember how the Airfix kits came.
  7. My first car was a 1959 Chevy Impala convertible in Cameo Coral (read pink).
  8. Looks really good. I love Autocars
  9. That's a very impressive build. I agree with you about Bandai. I used to build armor and they had some great 1/48 kits.
  10. This looks really good. Is that a brick floor in the sleeper?
  11. I'll go along with the Autocar Dump truck.
  12. The way you blended the two colors really looks good. Did you use an airbrush for that? Don
  13. That cab floor looks excellent, I thought you had replaced the plastic with a piece of wood. Don
  14. I remember seeing the Little Red Wagon at ESTA (Empire State Timing Association) back in the late 60's. That was the local drags trip in Cicero, near Syracuse, NY. Still operating the last I heard. It was amazing at the time. I've still got a Kodak picture of very low quality of it when it made a run there. Those were good times. I guess I'm aging myself a little. The Hemi Under Glass ran there as well along with a lot of the big name AA/F dragsters of the time. Brings back a lot of good memories.
  15. I've been away from any modeling for over 30 years. Welcome back to the hobby. There are a lot of very good modelers of this site so ask questions and enjoy the build. Don
  16. They both look good. I especially like the red and silver combination.
  17. The color combination really looks good.
  18. Very nice. I have a nephew who used to work for Utica, now with Oneida FD
  19. That's exactly what I was talking abut. Big ones in the back, small ones in the front. Thanks Doug
  20. I've been on the board for awhile and I'm working on an AMT K123 and have come up on a minor problem. After fighting with the rear axles I'm putting the brake cylinders on. They are two different sizes, front and back. My question is which is which.
  21. Looks really good! I hope my first one comes out even close to that Don
  22. You've got the magnifying glass thing right. The eyes are going or the parts are a lot smaller than they used to be.
  23. Thanks for the welcome. I have enjoyed trying to decifer AMT's instructions. I had forgotten how they seemed to leave out some of the important positions for some pieces. Yes, the world wide web has shrunk the world tbill. I lived just outside Chittenango for about 10 years in the 70's. Don Relyea
  24. Joined the forum a few days ago but I've been going through for a couple of weeks. I have just started building models (trucks) again after being away from the hobby for over 35 years. My first attempt has been a Kenworth K123 and it has provided a few challenges. I currently live in Alabama but grew up around Syracuse and Chittenango NY before moving down here. This forum has some really great modelers on it and I am getting a lot of ideas and help from just reading. I'm sure I will have some questions as the KW gets farther along. Thanks for letting me in. Don
