  1. When I was hiking in India years ago I tried to wash my hands where and when I could, and used to wonder how clean the water was and who'd last used the tap. I went down with amoebic dysentery anyway! Still, what you say makes sense, Ron.
  2. This is because one of the team members has tested positive for the virus, it's to protect other participants. It's the right thing to do but still gutting for them.
  3. Big Al II gets me every time! Spike is right, great set of pictures. Thanks.
  4. Still not convinced that speed humps are the answer, my point re. emergency services remains valid - and speed humps don't tackle drug abuse! Sounds like you need more active and intelligent policing, just like most communities in the UK!
  5. The overall lines of this could have come from one of the great Italian styling houses of the late fifties / early sixties. The wheels and some of the chrome embellishments give it a transatlantic flavour. It's fabulous!
  6. Lurssen rudders! Well I learned something today. Thanks Joe -Don.

The paint looks great, the wheels too. Well done!
  8. Nice, Joe! By my reckoning, the 'boot is just over 3 feet long, yes? I love it. Cheers, -Don.
  9. Most definitely not! The difference is in the number of wheels on the front axle... A friend from years back. a proper cockney geezer, did actually put his Reliant Rebel on it's side in a pedestrian precinct. He had to stand up holding the drivers door open like a tank commander and persuade some passers-by to push the vehicle back onto it's wheels then drove away to hide in a corner. The embarrassment was too much to bear!
  10. Me too! Funny how black and white photos sometimes make the subject look more real!
  11. An excellent little car! My mum had it's predecessor, a Rebel - rear wheel drive, free-revving 750cc 'four', cheap to run and FUN!
  12. That GTO is something else. It's sure good looking. If it were mine, Id sort out the stance, give it the full four headlights and a decent grille and scare myself silly in it.
  13. It's superb, far better than I could do but don't those big slicks need a bit more room 'specially with two up and a big haul of parts in the bed? Maybe that's next on the list of to-do's, you did say you were modelling a WIP 1:1! Love it anyway!
  14. Hi Noel What did you make of the Panther when you saw it for real? I must admit to rather liking it but have never seen it in the flesh. Poor old John Woolfe, there's a man who lived and died the dream... Cheers, -Don.
  15. Now there's a coincidence! I just sold a die-cast TSR-2 this morning on Ebay! My dad was chief test pilot at Rolls Royce when the TSR-2 programme was axed so he almost got to fly it - few did. A beautiful thing, it's good to see your version. Looks good in green. Sorry the image is so big! Cheers, -Don.
  16. ?
  17. You don't suspect fowl play?
  18. I like it a lot, I agree about the clean look on this car.
  19. Nasty! I love the paint, and the straight through exhausts with Cherry Bombs!
  20. Hi Noel Veering a bit off topic - now you point it out, I agree about the SS100 lookalike. As you probably know, Panther did such a car, the J72 with the trusty XK engine. Probably their best offering, to my mind. All the best, -Don.
  21. HI Noel I think you made a typo. it's a DeVille, not a SeVille. I can't see one in the last picture, just the Limas and the 6 of course. Cheers, -Don.
  22. Always my favourite kit and this is easily the best I've seen. Revell's finest hour imho...
  23. Arguably the most forgettable car ever built, yet a few of us got it right away! Maybe, as per Faust's philosophy, it is noteworthy for being so unexceptional! Thanks Michael
  24. I wish I had the space and the money. I'm 'between contracts' and also own a 2002 race car with a Garret T03 turbo that I now have to move on as I don't have the money for that either... My first 2002 had a 300 degree cam, twin 45DCOEs, lsd and big alloys with hand-flared arches, I really miss that car. That was totalled by a drunk driver just by Hammersmith bridge in West London back in the eighties. I truly hate to see them die as well, maybe somebody who shares our passion will take on the 328 as is... Cheers Bill, -Don.
